Years ago when I was in third grade my grandmother gave me a book that had been hers as a child. My copy is very well loved, meaning worn and I would like to find another copy if possible. I've tried many different searches including library of congress but no luck yet. This is what I can tell you about the book. The title is "Peggy's Travels" It was written mid to late 1800's . It is Engish origin. The pictures were done by Alice M. Cook. It was copyrighted or published by Blackie & Sons, Limited. There is no author listed or copyright date. The book is about a little girl who's uncle is a sea captian and brings her a box filled with wonderful things. One of these being a blue stone with a hole in it, a talisman. She had to wear it on her neck and after her mother had gone upstairs to rest, she was to rub it with her hand and make a wish where she wanted to go, but only if she had been good all day. so she went on many travels. I would love to find this book. HELP

Hello,
I just recently got into photography, and I also haven't travelled much. This summer I'm going to Ireland(first time overseas!) and I wanted to know what your experiences have been when you've travelled with equipment. Basically, is there anything you'd advise, or any big things to avoid doing? Bare in mind that I've only been on a plane once, and I was 4 or 5, so I am completely clueless as to how the hole thing works.

Also, does anyone have suggestions about how much film to take? I'll be over there for 3 weeks. And any suggestions about whether to bring color or black and white? Any lenses I should try to bring? Seriously, any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.

Just give me a couple of examples of such things. Can be anything--tech product, food, merchandise, whatever. I just can't think of one right away.

Do you believe it is possible to dream immoral things? Years ago I read in some philosophy class that that it was not possible for one to dream about things that go against their own moral codes. (i.e someone who was an ethical saint would never have a dream about stealing. Someone who was strongly opposed to homosexuality, could not dream about engaging in homosexual behavior and so forth.)

Or is it possible to dream about immoral things because of the mind and body being separate states, but are still able to influence each other? I can not recall having an immoral dream so I can not be sure in regards to the answer to this question.

So i'm reading Memoirs of a Geisha, but didn't get a chance to read all of it since my teacher thinks we read at home alot. I only read during school hours.

Anyways, what we have to do is continue the story after you had read the book. Like for example, If I was doing Star Wars VI, I would have to continue the story after Luke kills Darth Vader. Make sense?

Can you please give me ideas on what to write after the last chapter for Memoirs Of A Giesha? And can you please tell me what had happened at the end of the book?

WHEN SUBMITTING A MANUSCRIPT FOR PUBLICATION I know that a lot of people reccommend things like dark courier for a manuscript font for legibility so that an editor can read it very quickly, but do editors also prefer a momspace font for the query letter and the synopsis as well? It looks odd on those two documents to me. Furthermore, should those items also be double-spaced? That doesn't give me much room, if the ideal query letter is limited to one page and the address of the publisher goes on top, and if I should use a letterhead......
gRH!!!!! None of the websites I've seen are quite clear enough about all of this stuff........
