I'm 15 and I really want to become a perfessional ballet dancer. But I don't want to start to late. How old do you have to be to join a ballet company.

My brother is off to ballet school at 16 (yes....he's a boy who does ballet, but he's got some right talent) so instead of going to college to do A Levels, or onto work, he's goin straight into a dancing school
(this is in England though)

Get auditioning as soon as you can and good luck!

Normally between ages 17 and 19, some later, but hardly ever earlier. They take you when you are younger and you can stay with the company for many years, but joining in your 20's or later is a rare thing unless you are already well known.

i think you have to go to wherever you want to audition and ask, and then take classes there, so yoou get to know their styles and such. I think it'd be better to finish school, because frankly, by the end of your ballet career, you will ahve quite a bit of your life left

I guess it depends on a company, but usually 18, if you are to get paid.
