i know that musolini promoted nationalism and increased jobs and several countries are doing that currently.

hitler had a secret police, teh gestapo to hunt out opposition. i ahve a feeling some countries use this secret police tactic.

even tho this isn't answering ur question, i think its interesting. hitler initiated purges against the gypsis, african americans and homosexuals based on what he heard. this was similar to the spanish inquisition b/c the inquisitors killed heretics based on what they heard and their family lineage. the punishment methods were also brutal in the holocaust and the spanish inquisition. but for some reason i can't decipher which one was more worse.

Hitler's influence is used to show the good versus the bad. His reign being a bad one, thus he is used as the antithesis if you will for how to do things.

The only other influence he has is as a boogeyman, and as an icon for youth that feel disenfranchised with society.
