There are a lot of things that I always wished I could be, an architect, fashion designer, writer etc... But, instead I do secretarial work. It seems that some people just have a knack for making their dreams come true. Fear of failure always holds me back. I'd love to know if there is anybody out there who has pursued their dream and made it happen. If not, what holds you back?

I have to write about an incident that made me happy at the end of a school day. Does anyone have any suggestions on the topic? I'd like to have few twists in the story if possible. Many thanks.

One lady works with me who is black said she
had three vivid dreams when little, she was a white
woman and had a baby, lived in a log cabin in a
settlement in colonial times. The indians attacked
and shot her in the back. Another fellow says he
was an officer in the civil war, lifted his head to look
and was shot in the neck.

I need help finding GOOD monologues. My professor seems pretty interested in keeping roles designated with race... which has ended up with her suggesting that I take something thats either an old slave sounding monologue, or stuff that's just stereotypical and possibly trash...

What have u all found helpful?

I plan on trying out for a Music College this coming March. However, it has been almost a month since I lost my voice due to vocal overuse. I saw an ENT three weeks ago, and he gave me antibiotics and anti-histamines. The medicines helped, however, I'm still experiencing pitch breaks in my voice. I can't sing notes from high C onwards! I'm working as a part-time barista, and I plan on resigning on March, but I'm starting to worry if I need to resign earlier so as to rest my voice. I don't want to have any permanent damage on my voice as singing really makes me happy...

I can't say i am incredibly familiar with the books, and there are a few things that would be difficult to support this theory, because of Dumbledores support for "mudbloods", but don't you think it could have been a big cover-up?? He trained Riddle to become an accomplice who then became his rival?? And dumbledore wanted to keep harry under his control (without teaching him too much wizardry like Riddle), and also had control of the school, with perhaps the intention of destroying the school eventually??

What are your thoughts on Jean Toomers "Song of the Son"

Pour O pour that parting soul in song
O pour it in the sawdust glow of night
Into the velvet pine-smoke air tonight,
And let the valley carry it along.
And let the valley carry it along.
O land and soil, red soil and sweet-gum tree,
So scant of grass, so proligate of pines,
Now hust before an epoch's sun declines
Thy son, in time, I have returned to thee,
Thy son, I have in time returned to thee.
In time, for though the sun is setting on
A song-lit race of slaves, it has not set;
Though late, O soil, it is not too late yet
To catch thy plaintive soul, leaving, soon gone,
Leaving, to catch thy plaintive soul soon gone.
O ***** slaves, dark purple ripened plums,
Squeezed, and bursting in the pine-wood air,
Passing, before they stripped the old tree bare
One plum was saved for me, one seed becomes
an everlasting song, a singing tree,
Caroling softly souls of slavery,
What they were, and what they are to me,
