this a question for a NY birth certificate. I'm adopted and I'm looking for my birth family. On my bc the recorded district is 1302(don't know exactly where this number belongs to) and on the upper right corner it says bc number...starts with 139 then 69 for the year you were born..but the first 3 numbers what they mean?

I am only 5'1" tall so you see for me to place my hands on his shoulders like women normally would, I would have to tip toe and stretch way above to slow dance with a man of this height. I have tried this once and it was awkward and so not sexy or romantic. Anyone please advise.

I was observing how professional photographers look at the tiny viewfinder, instead of looking at the big LCD screen, when taking pictures with their DSLR. Why is that?

I have to research about the renaissance period as my holiday assignment so can you please help me with it? I'm totally clueless about the renaissance period.

NOTE: I'm asking you to help me by providing me some useful websites or telling me more about the renaissance period ( history etc) not ordering you to do my homework.

I just want to know more about the history of the renaissance period, why is it important to us now, some famous authors, novelists, playwrights, poets of the renaissance period.

THANKS.

These are just some thoughts that ran into my mind after reading these 2 chapters and I was just wondering if anyone else ever thought of these things too.

If people do not understand something they will create SOMETHING to explain it. No matter how ridiculous it sounds people must have an explanation for everything.
Everything living must have one basic substance and that is water, but to live a organism needs a combination of water and air, and a myriad of other different substances. The question then becomes how do these things mix equally to create a living orgainsm?
What is water? Where did water come from? If water is present in all living organisms does it mean that it always existed? But how can something ALWAYS exist? The same can be said about air.
How did water become part of all living organisms?
A living organism cannot live without water which means that water was already present in the first living organism on the planet. How is this possible?

Does anyone know where you can purchase Nora Roberts books? I don't want to do the book club thing and I don't want to do the auction thing either. I don't care if they are new or used. I have many titles and I want to continue with my collection. Thanks for your help.

I'm an avid reader and always scouring for good books. Given the myriad options out there, I usually rely on peer advise vs. already-skewed media "top-sellers". Your help is greatly appreciated! Have a great New Year.
