I have the belief that if we received the "truth" to how the universe began, that we would not be able to comprehend the answer no matter how simple or complex it would be (god vs. science). If it were a simple answer, I dont think people would believe it, and it it were a complex answer, I dont think we would handle it well and would probably fear it. I also believe we are just not evolved enough to handle the answer in which we seek. I mean science would have to take on a whole new direction, and right now it keeps us progressing forward in our quest. Once that quest is answered, where do we go from there?

The Ottoman Turks brought Islam and muslim society to its heights in the 15th century. But, they had a problem - muslim boys were not easy to train for important work in the empire. The soution - take Christian boys at age 8 -10, convert them to Islam and then train them in arts of warfare and administration. Called the Jannissary Corps their feats of arms and administration are legendary. Now muslim society is confronted with this same old problem, but has no Jannissary Corps to lead them out of the 7th century.

through there propaganda. and forcing idiotic tv shows and commercialization down our throats. we are no longer seen as humans.... only targets. we dont NEED most of the things we have but american society makes us believe we need these things to aid us in our survival. they are controlling us... and manipulating our minds and we sit back and allow this to happen. possestions are just a way of controll. allowing the govt' to track us down easier making sure we fork over our hard earned money with jobs that are not that far off from slavery. i believe it is time for a reveloution! something must be done before we all become slaves to the beast.

My favorite painter by far is Rembrandt. I fell in love with his works when I saw them displayed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
My favorite painting is The Kiss, by Francesco Hayez. It looks very realistic, and the man bears a little resembelence to Inigo Montoya :P

So, what's your favorite painter and painting! And, for painting, please post a link so we all can see!

I really hate that. It makes me feel like I am somehow supposed to control ALL elements of fate - and that by being a good person & working hard, it isn't enough. Now, I am "cursed" by fate, the gods, karma, God, whatever you believe.....! I find this to be such an insult. Help me think of a good comeback, please! BIG THANKS!

I have been trying to start up my own freelance graphic design company, and my friend hired me to design a logo for him. The only problem I have is that I can't seem to find a free royalty-free vector-based clipart website... I don't have money to join one that requires a membership! If anyone has any suggestions for finding any vector-based royalty-free images for free, please let me know!!
