Full Poem : "I have looked for you - in the millennial night that devoured Kant and Marco Bruno, in the sea and its legendary fury, in the Bible and in a country blues.
I should confess I dreamt of you - in the confusion of the public lavatories, in the alley and its helpless horror, in a park, and in a hundred thousand spas.
Repeating a thousand stupidities, I have looked for you – caressing bodies and faces, in the insults and anathemas.
And finally I found you – you are loneliness before which I humble to make my poems come out." - Reinaldo Arenas

Drawing anything is difficult for that matter. In other things you can make mistakes and pass unnoticed. Humans we interact and we need to feel.
Drawing from life directly without using any sketch or out lines isthe best practise.
It is learning how to see. You can't draw what you can't see and you really don't see. You draw a dead outline and try to fill it with colors.
Once you learn how to draw from life these difficulties will subside.
Here are some examples of kids drawings from my workshops.

I have read the Doctorow book and love it. I know that the show opened on Broadway in 1998 and is still running there, but I am having trouble locating a script. Securing rights is not a problem at this time as I am not planning on producing it, I would just like to have it in my library. All that I have been able to locate is the screenplay for the 1981 movie. Even the publisher would help.
