The last thing that made me sad was finding out yesterday that my dad died. It was a big shock, because he wasn't old (47 is not old) or sick.. and although he was an alcoholic and didn't live with my family, he was still a good person and my father. I didn't get to say goodbye or that I loved him. The last time I saw him was this summer, before that I didn't see him in 2 years. He said I looked beautiful. Those were his last words he said to me. How about you, what was the last thing that made you sad?

While suturing a laceration on the hand of a 90-year-old man, the doctor asked his patient how he thought George W. Bush was doing as President.
The old man said, "Ya know, Bush is a post turtle." Not knowing what the old man meant, the doctor asked him what a "post turtle" was.

He said, "Did you ever drive down a country road and come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top? You know he didn't get there by himself, he doesn't belong there, he can't get anything done while he's up there, and you just want to help the poor thing"

...brings someone back from the dead, is able to replicate the process, and it becomes commercialized.....what will religion say then as to the factuality of 'miracles'? Will this take away from your faith that god's existence is even a reasonable possiblility?

Our company had the annual Christmas party at a casino this year. It was a new experience for me. I was surprised at the number of smokers in there gambling with a cigarette hanging from their mouth. Yuck!!!! There was a blue cloud of smoke in the air. Thank goodness I found the non-smoking room. Also, many of the gamblers were Senior Citizens. I felt so out of place, bored and uncomfortable. Finally found a football game to watch on one of the TVs.

Do you go to casinos? What's fun about it?

why do you think this is? is it for the benefit of all mankind or are they building some thing up there that will alllow them to control every one down here on the planet? or are they hoping to find a planet that will support human life, so they can finally escape from us, bearing in mind that only people with more than $10,000,000 dollars will be allowed to live there?
is this what their really up to? because lets face it these people, the haves and the have mores never do any thing for any one but them selves ,unless of course they are absolutely forced too?
you might say im a little sceptical about there motives.

Maybe I am missing something here, but I just don't understand how you safely transition from a crib to a toddler bed. Right now my son is 23 months, in a crib with a mesh tent over it because he can climb out (since 16 months). His bedroom is upstairs and ours is downstairs. If we let him sleep in a bed where he is not confined, won't he get up and run around all night? I don't allow him to run around the house unsupervised now, why would that be okay at night? We have stairs that are gated. He can open doors and climb over baby gates with ease. And I suppose we can't lock him inside his room for fire reasons. This just sounds like a fiasco. I don't even know how to go about this. Please help and share your ideas on how to keep him safe while getting him into a bed.

*****
Princess

Soup can telephone,
Flashlight semaphore,
Sawmill whisper, tap on the window,
Blinds parted, then pulled,
Golden curls on backlit pink curtains,
She cocks her head,
“What strange bird is this at my window?”

Come into the night with me.
Come to my castle, high up a tree!

Old window creaks,
Gently slides open,
Nightshirt rustles, vibrates my soul,
Fingers touch, then clasp,
A muffled giggle, swinging,
Those blue eyes,
What sort of cat has climbed my tree?

“I’m come to the night, called by you.”
“I’m here to be queen, King Brian Baru.”

Moonlight shadows,
Gentle warm breezes,
Hands exploring, lips elastic stroke,
Pulses racing, hearts embracing,
Leaves shaking, nocturnal,
Branches flexing,
Oak tree rendezvous, midnight entwined,

“How will we get down from this parapet?”
How can I ever forget such a silhouette?
