The last thing that made me sad was finding out yesterday that my dad died. It was a big shock, because he wasn't old (47 is not old) or sick.. and although he was an alcoholic and didn't live with my family, he was still a good person and my father. I didn't get to say goodbye or that I loved him. The last time I saw him was this summer, before that I didn't see him in 2 years. He said I looked beautiful. Those were his last words he said to me. How about you, what was the last thing that made you sad?

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm sorry for making everyone sad, that was not my purpose. I think I'm in a shock and haven't realised that he's gone and I will never see or talk to him again.. it will probably hit me in the funeral when I see him for the last time. I hope everyone are feeling better than I am, sadness is not a good thing,

I am sorry to hear about your father passing away. I know this must have been a shock for you.
I am sad today, we moved and I have been unable to find a job. My husband goes through stages where he leaves me with no food, gas , etc. He pays his bills and just leaves me broke. It has been very stressful. Today, he talked me into giving him my daughter's child support check. I had planned to buy some food, fill my car up, pay some of my bills and maybe even get the kids some gifts for Christmas. But, now I can't. I gave in because I am afraid of him. If I was not pregnant, I could do more and be stronger. All I can do now, is cry.

I hope you find closure in knowing that your father loves you and he knows you love him. It's just a short while and I believe you will see him again one day. Look at the last time you saw him and remember how good it was. Keep the memory you have of the last thing he said to you and how you felt when you left him that day. He knows how you feel about him and he took that with him when he died. Don't be sad, he wants you to live your life to the fullest with a smile on your face. I really don't feel like you need to hear a sad story. We all have them, but we need to think of good and positive things. Take care sweetheart.

I was sad leaving my daughters this morning ... and more sad when I read your question! My dad's last words to me - I love you. I'm very glad for that. Those were my last to him, too.

Losing your dad is so ... permanent. I know that's not the greatest word. You'll see more of him in yourself as time goes on, though. You'll see.

Email me if you want to talk to someone whose gone through the same thing!

My condolence.

[edit]
I was about to answer your question with my break up story, only to find out that it was nothing as compared to yours. So I decided to just give out my condolence. Then after answering, I read the stories of other answerers, and I was surprised with what other people are going through right now. First I felt for Brenda_Urie_Rockz because we pretty much have the same sentiments, then I read Kimberly_Q's answer and it was really terrible. Her situation is just the saddest. My sympathy goes out to her too. Kimberly I hope somehow your situation gets better. Just hold on and don't forget to call on God, miracles do happen.

The last TWO things that made me sad were: realising how old my grandparents are and that I can't see them when I want to; a big lie told to me by someone.

I am so sorry for your loss. Reading this definitely made me sad.

This morning, I just heard that one of my co-worker's grandfather and his nephew died in a house fire over the weekend, so my morning hasn't been very happy.

Last week when I found out my mother had double puemonia and congestive heart failure. She's elderly and I really didn't think she was going to make it. But her strength brought her through and she is doing pretty good right now but because of her age it could still go either way.
