I am going to be working for a company but they want me to be on a self employed basis. I will have to travel 25 miles per day, in total, to and from the office-am I right in thinking that I will be able to claim 40p per mile on my tax return? I will only be working part time (15 hours a week -3 hours a day) I will be paid £9 per hour..so by my calculations I will need to deduct £50 a week for travel expenses - leaving me with £85 profit. Is this right as it seems that I will probably have no tax to pay as I'm allowed more than this amounts to on my tax code?

i drink alot for my age (15) and about every weekend. The problem is when i first started out i didnt need to drink much to get drunk but i have a high tolerence to it now...when i started me and my buddies only drank hard liquer (rum, vodka). But now i mostly drink beer cuz i bought some one time and it was great (molson). Now the problem is i cant chug very well so its not easy for me to get drunk that way, and when i drink it at a normal pace it doesnt get me drunk for a long time. By the time i get to like 5 or 6 beers my whole 24 pack is gone cuz my buddie is a monster and he chugs beers over and over again intil hes in the garbage puking. i can drink about 7 or 8 beers before i get drunk but when i get drunk i always feel sick...so if i dont drink that many i wont get drunk and if i do ill get sick and throw up...does anyone know a way to get drunk and definitly not throw up..? i dont care if the tip is for beer or hard liquor.

The reason I ask is that I seem to see white people much happier and doing more fun things than black people, who seem to be less happy, and more reserved. Now I'm not trying to generalize here because of course I don't know everyone, but it seems that way based on my observations and I've been wondering.. Is there any truth to this.

I went to the hospital & they dont know what it is. It feels like someone is standing on my stomach. My back hurts too & i have no energy (except when it comes to sex). I thought i might be pregnant & have done test after test but all negative.
The only help the doctors gave me was "Try not to stress so much!" Which made me worse! Anyone know what it could be or what to do to make it not hurt so much???

I just signed up for a scuba class, went to pick up the equipment and I literally can hardly lift the tank more than a few inches off the ground. I'm 5'3" and 96lbs. Can I still dive? The man who worked there didn't seem to care and just carried it for me. I'm trying to imagine how I'm going to put this on my back without tipping over. It's kind of embarrassing!

A blonde goes to work one morning crying her eyes out, Her boss, concerned about the well being of his employees,asked sympathetically: "What is the matter?"
The blonde replies,"Early this morning I got a call saying my mother had passed away."
The boss, feeling very sorry at this point, explains to the young girl,"why don't you go home for the day, we aren't so teribly busy. Just take the whole day off to relax and rest."

The blonde very calmly states,"No I'd be better off here.I need to keep my mind off it and I have a better chance of doing that here".
The boss agrees and allows the blonde to work as ussual. "If you need anything, just let me know."

Well, a few hour later he decided to go check on the blonde. He looks out over his office and sees the blonde hysterically crying!! He rushes over to her and asks her, " what's so bad now? Are you gonna be okay?

"No!" exclaimed the blonde. "I just received a call from my sister. She told me that HER mom died too!"
