Why? Are they just caring about their stocks and oil buissnes and those kind of things? Like my father doesn't even believe in Global warming. Most adults don't believe Global Warming! I have never met an adult who cares. I have heard of some who do, my father came back from work and told me about a person who cared and had an environmentaly-friendly buissness. But I have heard those consequences will be around when I'm still alive, like for eg: Fish will become extinc in 50 years, and i'l be like what? around 60 years old or something and they won't even be alive by then. But why don't they care, and how do I get my family to care? I've triend so many things, but it just won't work :(
ty folks

This has never crossed my mind until now but she is 2 and 2 months and I began to think that one day it will not be appropriate for her to take a bath with me or her father which we often do now.

How much longer do you think it will be ok to do this?

I'm curious about people who are very good at math. How do you think? When you see a complex equation how do you think of it as? Does an image of how it looks on a graph automatically form in your mind? Can you easily distinguish where the different parts of it came from? Does it "talk" to you and tell you what it is, or is it a big mystery until you actually run some numbers through it?

How do you perceive things?

My partner is low paid and I'm at home with our baby son. We're really struggling.

We get tax credits every week, not a large amount as we had an "overpayment" last year and they are clawing some of it back, but what we get really helps.

If I was to find a part time job would it just reduce our tax credits even further? I mean even if I didn't tell them about the job they would find out when they do our end of year renewal next year wouldn't they? And then claw more back from us next year? How does this work?

Also if this affected our tax credits would I still get any help with childcare costs? Because in order to work at all I would need to put my son in childcare.

So, let's say, you only have $50 in your bank account, while the total of your bills is $350. You can borrow your friends' money, but you remembered you still owe them from the previous bills. You are forced to have an income of $300 in a week's time. What would you do? (Robbing a bank is not an option!)

I would REALLY appreciate anyone w/ life insurance (or stubborn husband) experience!!!
I am 38 and my husband is 49. My husband is the sole income provider of our family.
Since our first child's birth, I have tried to discuss with him the importance of planning for our deaths. Our oldest son is 15, and he still refuses to have a Will drawn up. Also, he refuses to purchase term life insurance on us both in the proper amount according to our famincome.
He is normally a very thoughtful and extremely responsible person. I know his lack of planning is due to his inability to deal with his own mortality.
I have continued to express concerns re: our lack of planning for 15 years! I have approached it from every angle I can think of.
On my own, I have contacted insurers to get coverage for us both & pay from my own "rainy day fund". No one will write a life policy in any amount without 1st performing a physical.
How do I protect my family in this situation?
