i live in louisiana and was displaced by hurricane Katrina i am now expericing more of the effects of the meds given prior to the storm

File an complaint against those who are responsible for your injury and prove that the effects were only detected lately in order that the offender/s will not be able to raise prescription of crimes as a defense.

I am addicted to Ativan because a doctor let this happen. Still there is nothing I can do. At least I don't think I can do anything. It has been 8 years now and I am still trying to get off this med with no luck.

If the problem is still occuring then I believe that your statute of limitations has not run out. Though I don't think I fully understand your question.
