I know what it means but I cannot put it into words-- This is because I was thinking about how there were some figures of speech that I don't like in formal conversation (like interviews) and then I was thinking about how someone who had English as a second language might not understand.
How would you put it into words without using figure of speech?

I'm connected to my school's internet, because I'm away from home and in college. I'm not sure if it's cable or DSL. It is slow. I try to check my speed, and the upload test just won't work. I've talked to a few people and most just tell me that it's my computer, since no one else is having the same problem. I don't understand how it could be my computer, because it runs at lightning speed when I'm connected to my wireless at home. I don't know much about my internet, but I know the speed is 100.0 Mbps. I scan for spyware every other day, and I also scan for viruses once a week. I do only have 704mb of memory. But is that really making my internet so slow? It won't even load www.msn.com.

He chomps and grinds his teeth so damn loud I want to freak ! lol. He snores so loud its amazing I havent suffered a hearing loss, and another thing... the man is always falling off the bed and can fall asleep sitting on a chair , a bench or anywhere when he is tired. Is this odd ?
Our 4 year old is a crazy sleeper too and falls out of bed all the time even with a bed guard just like dad... LOL

When I was researching this, I was surprised to see how few sources we have which encourage salat and so many that instruct. Especially in light of the fact that so many of our brothers and sisters have abandoned the salat --- May Allah guide us all.

Some of the greatest blessings imaginable are so simple yet we try so hard to make them so unattainable. Great rewards are the blessings that Allah has given us for various acts that we perform. The greatest of them all is the salat. Allah has enjoined on us five prayers a day. Simple, efficient, and packed with benefit, this small amount of time that we spend in remembrance of Allah, speaking to Him, seeking from Him, gaining from Him...this short time that we give to Him from the multitude of time He has given us is so tiny, yet so power-packed.

Ok, this year i met a guy in lunch. He made a horrible first impression, but since then he's improved and we're kinda friends. Unfortuneatly, I think he likes me and thats a problem because i don't like him. I think this because he is far too complimentary and seeks out my company a lot. so the question

1: If he actually does end up asking me out, how can I tell him I don't like him like that nicely while keeping the friendship

Part two: I like this guy and he is a year older than me, but we're really good friends. Should I ask him out, and hope for the best, or should I just wait it out? I'm afraid of ruining a great friendship and that he'd say yes just because he is so kind, charming, respectful, considerate and sweet.

Any ideas?

Ok, Hi everyone, Im a 16 year old guy and Im down and out because I never really see my parents.
Yes we all live in the same house, but they are always busy, we never get to really to sit down and have "family" time. When I get home from school the house is empty, and when I wake up for school they are leaving for work.

What can I do to make our family be an actual...family.

My friend found a single stack 9mm stainless steel pistol in his aunt's attic. It must have been belonged to the previous home owner. On the side it states "Catron", "9 mm", "Military and Police" and no serial # (manufactured without it). It has a fixed barrel and there is no play when you rack the slide. When retracting the slide only the rear portion of the slide moves in order to cycle the cartridge. It is missing the magazine and what would appear to be the safety. Has anyone ever heard of this pistol. If so, we need to see if we can get parts for it and try to determine it's value.
