Ok, this year i met a guy in lunch. He made a horrible first impression, but since then he's improved and we're kinda friends. Unfortuneatly, I think he likes me and thats a problem because i don't like him. I think this because he is far too complimentary and seeks out my company a lot. so the question

1: If he actually does end up asking me out, how can I tell him I don't like him like that nicely while keeping the friendship

Part two: I like this guy and he is a year older than me, but we're really good friends. Should I ask him out, and hope for the best, or should I just wait it out? I'm afraid of ruining a great friendship and that he'd say yes just because he is so kind, charming, respectful, considerate and sweet.

Any ideas?

Problem one: Be honest, all the way to. If he ask, tell him why you can't go out with him. This way he knows how to improve himself because chances are your not the only one who has that concern about him. SO help the boy out with some honest truth.

Problem two: Now this is tricker MOSTLY because highschool no matter how good of friends you are, is the worst possible place to expect to have a deep, honest, meaningful relatinoship. We tend to display our WORST behavior during this time, stuff we shouldn't be called on later on in a serious way. So really keeping the friendship up is the most important thing. The best way to do that, BE SO F'IN HONEST IT HURTS!!! No kidding. ALmost to the point were you turn to mister nice their and tell him "Hey buddy I'd seriously think about dating you, but our friendship is incredible, I know we couldn't handle it right now because theres ALOT of understanding about this world we need to get out of the way, but I'd love if we keep in contact, talk honestly, and relate to each other and hope for a point in the future were we'd beable to make something more of it" Something like that put your own spin on it. But honestly is the key...... no telling what can happen with honesty, becuase the cool thing about it, if he can't handle it, he isn't worth it.....
