A 50000kg ship sails east at 6m/s for 10 minutes. What is the net force acting on the ship? I thought this was so easy but I got it wrong...I had (50000kg*.01m/s^2)...is this because there is no acceleration?

They just tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, but they never clarify it. They never explain which parts are wrong and which are right.

Do you think God has a father?
Do you think his father is stronger than he?
Do you think gods can have more than one child?
Do you think gods have free will?
Do you think you can become a god?
Do you think that if a god is stronger than his nephew and turns evil, that he could influence his nephew to do evil?

If you don't, then tell me which of these are wrong and in what way? What is the actual belief that I am slightly off on?

She is a 35 year old single mom (I'm 22), that I met 2 weeks ago because she was helping me paint a (family)friends apartment. We did some painting, but mostly just talked and got to know eachother alittle. (skip ahead-she came over once, I didn't make a move.) She came over on Monday (second time) and we were having good conversation, until she started talking about having SEX w/ a 20 yr old in Mexico, and how she is sleeping wiith a 21 yr old and a 23 year old right now.( i bet she has more) Well, I then asked her if i could kiss her and she said NO, because she doesn't want to add more drama too her situation. She did happen to mention she likes guys to " Control" her and other stuff. I am not a forceful person...I ask before I just try to kiss a woman. I know this sound crazy, but it's ALL true..I know I should have not wanted to do anything with her, but my PENIS was doing the thinking at this point. I was thinking " I have a chance, she likes younger guys."

Okay, this is really hard for me to say, but I need to help myself.

Heres what happends: We moved to kentucky two years ago because my dad got a job offer. She used to be fine in colorado because we had family and friends. Now, she is EXTREMEMLY moody. She will be happy for one week and take me and my sister places and act like a mom should.. but then the next week she wont get out of bed and says shes having a breakdown and how were "so hard" kids. She talks on the phone all the time when shes like this, and she wont leave the house.

My dad travels too, so when hes gone I cant have any friends over (My mom is to drunk) and its too embarresing to do anything. She wont take me to school (I cant ride the bus, im in walking distance) and she wont do ANYTHING.

Then the week after that (If im lucky) she will be fine and deny ever being "crazy"

Please help, I was crying a ton today.. and I feel like my soul is like just breaking down. I dont understand.

Im only 13.

I live in Michigan and just about a month ago planted a baby Eastern Redbud tree. It's about 5-6 feet tall and the trunk is between 1 maybe 2 inches around. It came with a long plastic rod attached to it with like garbage bag ties attaching the rod to the tree. I did put a stake into the ground to help with support & I attached the rope from the stake to the plastic thing attached to the tree trunk.

Now my question is should I have staked it? If yes, how many stakes should I use & how long dose it need to be staked? Should I remove the plastic rod?

Everything I seem to read says NOT to stake a new tree, unless it's not straight...my tree it pretty straight. But I am a bit worried 'cause it's so small & winters here can be pretty tough. Thanks for any help.

He thinks that he owns me and my belongings.He yells and screams when i let MY family borrow MY car that I paid for with MY income tax check.I am always doing something wrong and i dont understand what it is.Is there anything that I can do.I love him so much,but his yelling and screaming and fussing hurts me so bad....Suggestions??

I am planning to buy a small lot of residential land to possibly put a house on. It is just woods right now, nothing was ever built on it. It was foreclosed on and the property owners association for the neighborhood now owns the land and is selling it. I offerred to buy it and they accepted, however they just stated that it will be on a Special Warranty Deed because it was foreclosed on.
1. should I be worried?
2. should I request a general deed or dont buy?
3. if I ask that they write that they are responsible for any monies owed previous to my purchase, is that sufficient?

What items would I need?
I know I would need the camera, lighting, back drops and light boxes, but where could i get a digital photo printer that prints in mass [like the ones in asda] and how do people print to canvas?
Also, if I had my own darkroom, would I need an enlarger [i think thats what its called]?

Parallel axis theorem is I = Io + Md^2

So say I have two spheres, equal weight and size, and I have a massless rod to hang them on. In one case I put the spheres on opposite ends and rotate about the middle of the rod -- it's really easy. In the second case I put both spheres on one end and try to rotate about the same point on the rod, it's much harder. This makes sense intuitively...

However, with a d-squared term, the moment of inertia shouldn't depend on where I put the spheres:
Case 1: I-total = Isphere + M(-D)^2 + Isphere + M(D)^2
Case 2: I-total = 2 * ( Isphere + M*(D)^2 ), which is the same.

But why, if the MOI is the same for both cases, is the balanced rod much easier to rotate?

It makes sense in my head, but not mathematically...
