I think that Mutts and Moms place is ridiculous. They should give that dog back to those kids. And what the heck kind of place doesn't let people with small children adopt dogs? That's just stupid.

As I stated earlier on a similar question....I think Mutts and Moms are the ones over-reacting honestly, the dog was in a good home and well taken care of.Ellen states she did not sign a contract and they have yet to produce proof that she did.She gave the dog away because it caused a conflict with her cats, some animals do not get on well together and it's in the best interest of all involved to move it on to a better environment. I think the shelter should have left the dog where it was and concentrated more on finding good, loving homes for the other animals in it's care. Some mention her over reacting on T.V. was a bad thing, I feel it was actually a good thing and draws the publics attention to the fact that shelters are removing wanted animals from good homes when in fact they should be placing unwanted animals.

I think the dog should be given back to the family, however I think it was wrong of Ellen to air it on her show. Mutts n Moms is receiving death threats. What's more important to her? Where the dog ends up or a woman's life?

Did you get a good look and listen to that Mutts & Moms lady? She's a total nutjob. If her sole purpose in life is to find dogs good homes (noble btw) then WHY would she have a problem with what Ellen did, regardless of the contract? If she wanted the dog to have a good home, she would have left it with the new family. I understand Ellen's reaction. Its just so hard to understand when someone who acts under the guise of do-gooder, does something bad that is counter-productive of the good. Its hard to process, especially when your emotions are vested as well. I truly believe Ellen was sincere, and I hope she sticks it to the power hungry, totally insane dog lady. I know I would!

I think it is getting a little blown out of proportion! I can't believe people are calling and making death threats to that place! The ones I feel bad for are the little girls who got attached to the doggie though. Ellen needs to take some of her money and buy those kids a puppy!

I don't see why the dog was returned. They should have just told the kennel lady to f.. off. Ellen already had the dog adopted and whatever she did with it after that is her business.

She was completely wrong to give that dog away to her hairdresser.

Rules are rules for a reason.

She broke them and it's sad that those two little girls have to pay for it by having their hearts broken when Mom's For Mutt's had to take the dog away again which they *had* to do because it was NOT up to Ellen to decide which new home the dog should go to. That was for Mom's For Mutt's to decide!

Plus, Ellen was *doubly* wrong for going on the air crying her eyes out and begging them to return the dog to the family and trying to gain sympathy by using her celebrity to gain public support. This made me sick!

BUT it was equally wrong for people to start giving death threats to that poor woman who owns Mom's For Mutt's... that shouldn't have happened and I hope Ellen is proud of herself for being the cause of such a terrible mess!

I don't think that they should have made her give the dog back. How stupid was that, when he already had 2 kids that really loved him. Wow hey an adoption place is so much better, or why not the pound. Yes I thought that it was cool that she showed her emotions on T.V., why not we are human after all

She should have returned it back to the adoption agency if the dog didn't get along with her cat. And she was wrong to use her show as a forum for this.

I kinda feel bad for her but at the same time its kinda dumb of her obviously you cant give the dog away after you bought it from a shelter. I mean everyone would do that and thats just not right!
