I love Christmas films. I have the following on DVD - Scrooged, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, White Christmas, Home Alone (1 to 4), Love Actually, various version of A Christmas Carol, Miracle on ??th Street (both versions), plus many other not-so-famous films. Can anybody suggest any others that are good?

My son was born in the relatively *tiny* Caerphilly Miners Hospital. Lovely little place, small team of midwives. All very local, homely and cosy. Spotlessly clean, good food, great care. Couldn't have asked for better. My son was even delivered by the local community midwife who'd been caring for me from the start of my pregnancy! I even got my own ensuite room!

In a few years I can guarantee it will be closed. The same happened to the Cardiff Royal Infirmary.

Now everyone will be sent to the University Hospital of Wales which is huge, understaffed and quite frankly, grotty. When I inspected the maternity unit there prior to having my baby I was disgusted. It was dirty, the toilets stank, the whole place was shabby and in need of a clean and it was obviously understaffed.

What is the benefit of closing our local hospitals and forcing everyone into these huge leviathan institutions where personal, one to one care and even hygiene is impossible?

I know i have said before that i dont want to be involved in any questions about the Mccans but i felt implored to ask this question.
What do we actually know for a fact!
As far as i can see all we factually know - has come out of the mouth of the Portugese police - is that Madeline hasn't been seen since 3rd May, that Robert murat and her parents are both Aguido's (sorry for miss spelling) and that there are some DNA tests!
Do you not think the over reaction to this case has been immense considering we only have limited facts.
Please don't tell me what you think you know, what do we actually know! Ie what what be given as evidence in a court of law!

My dogs have those microchips and I was just wondering what would happen if one of them wandered off or was taken. Would I be able to track them to an exact house or find them in the mountains? Does somebody come with you or do you buy a receiver or what? I was just thinking about it and wondering how they work.

If anybody out there has actually used the chip to find their dog then I'm sure you would have some great input for this question.

I'm 26 years old, normal weight 9stone, not hairy or spotty, normal periods b4 going on the pill and during! TTC for 4 months and always knew something wasnt quiet right. Went to the doctors and they did some blood work and found the LH was a little high- went for a scan and found I have PCOS. I went home and cried and cried I just felt so depressed because I wanted a baby so much. After speaking to alot of people I found out alot of women do have it and go on to have children, with little problems. I am just waiting to be referred back to the NHS hospital to start treatment. They have suggested clomid injections. If any women with PCOS have any postive stories to getting preggs could you share it with me? And what is it like to be on that treatment? Thanks x

I've got a 32bit, quad core, 1066 BUS, computer. It currently has 4GB (1X4) 800MHZ DDR2. My HP 8100y computer says I can put up to 8GB RAM. The BIOS recognizes each DIMM, but Vista says it only sees 3.4 GB (which is another concern - why?)

I work heavily with large digital photos, and also with creating my own DVDs, so there is some heavy rendering involved.

If I were to upgrade memory...

- Would I see any performance increase?
- Do I have to get 4 - 2GB DIMMs?
- Would 4GB of 1066 be better (if it can take it)?
- Why does Vista only recognize 3.4GB?
(is it not using it all?)
- Would I see any difference in a better Video Card?
(Currently it's a NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS w/256MB)

*** I am NOT a Gamer ***

How do I know if my apps are taking advantage of all this hardware?

It's a pretty zippy machine, but time is money and if I can increase it's performance (aside from getting another computer), without a huge cost, it would save me time.

It's running Vista Premium

what are they talking about house are built by the guy down the road or some one like me I built a few I know of a few guys who would develop subdivisions and they would have crews on did concrete one floors one walls and so on they would erect a complete house shell every three days but what is this largest builder in the nation crap is there a franchise like burger king only for homes that I never herd about?
