I'm very curious as to why some or many folks cease going to church service sometime in their lives.
In my case, an avid catholic church goer, I got real turned off when our priests started delving into politics on a regular basis! Every sunday they preached about abortion and were actually suggesting in 2004 who we should vote for president depending on who was anti choice. Our forefathers clearly intended for our churches to stay away from making govt. policy and in return they could aquire land for their churches without paying land taxes. Look at the huge churches being built today in prime real estate property and they are preaching politics from the pulpit and making policy right alongside our public figures! We should discontinue giving them tax breaks on land. Maybe paying back taxes on those huge pieces of land!! That would make them think twice about meddling into politics and contributing to the anti-choice candidates. That's why I decided to quit attending services.

Since Prussia doesn’t exist anymore... Im sorta confused what my ethnic background is. I found out my family was from Pomerania and Silesia and I was wondering what type of people lived in those areas... what is the background? What ethnic background would people living in those areas have in 1700's and up... like were they more German? Polish? Russian? Dutch? etc....

I'm not Christian (shocks you all from my question, huh? :P) and in the circles I hang out with, fundamentalist is nearly a curse word, and "bible thumper" is liable to turn someone pale, or green, or some combination thereof.

Namely, it's the Bible thumpers, the people who want to quote the Bible at every turn thinking, for some unknown reason, that non Christians care what that book says, the ones who are trying to convert everyone, the ones who diss all non Christians... namely, it's these people who cause non Christians to loathe Christianity... often with a firey passion.

And fundamentalists are the blind, backwards lot who hold that the Bible is completely perfect as it is, with no flaw or inconsistancy... that last bit proves the whole blind thing, since the Bible is full of holes. And typically jump down anyone's throat who even whispers to the contrary.

So, my question again... are thse people aware of the hatred they inspire of their own faith?

i met a guy a while ago and i thought that he was playing me b/c he had a girlfriend at the time and he flirted with me a lot. he also asked me a lot of questions that made it seem like he wanted to know me better...we'd also talk for hours at a time. he made it seem like he was not so into his girlfriend. anyway, a few months after i met him, we had gotten pretty chummy and i still hadn't given anything to him but smiles and a few light touches. i never really flirted back with him. then his dog died and he was so distraught he cried in my arms and he was soo open with me about his feelings. he went to stay with his parents for a while and when he came back, he was really happy to see me and was once again really vulnerable to me. however, nothing changed...he went back to being with his gf and still flirts with me every so often. was he playing me or did he have real feelings and just happened to have a gf at the time?

I need the "NISSAN" letters that are on the front of the rack (the "air dam"). Someone told me that I would have to purchase the entire air dam @ $200 because the decals aren't sold separately. Is this true?

Im confused .? I thought at sixteen you were classed as a non dependant and treated like an adult and child benefit stopped because you can leave school and get full time employment, so theres no need for benefits. Now the taxcredit system is here its 19-20.The law says your are an adult when your 18 . So why are the government still paying tax credits etc for young people to work full time and do 12hrs college (which is classed as fultime education) Do u think the benefits system has gone wrong by classing adults as children ?
