I need to make a snack-appetizer-like dish for my honey to take to his Guy's night.

What would be good to make for them?

Something besides the usual buffalo wings!

Thanks!

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge tossed out a lawsuit by California's attorney general on Monday seeking hundreds of millions of dollars from six automakers for damaging the state with climate-changing greenhouse gases.
Martin Jenkins, a federal judge in the Northern District of California, said the issue of global warming should be decided in the political rather than legal arena.
"The Court finds that injecting itself into the global warming thicket at this juncture would require an initial policy determination of the type reserved for the political branches of government," Jenkins wrote in approving the automakers' motion to dismiss the case.
The suit, filed in September, targeted General Motors Corp, Ford Motor Co, Toyota Motor Corp, the U.S. arm of Germany's DaimlerChrysler AG and the North American units of Japan's Honda Motor Co and Nissan Motor Co Ltd.

Isn’t a lawsuit like this going a bit overboard? Is California’s attorney general for real? Does he expect people to walk to work?

Can you rank out of 10 the relative Christ-like-ness of your life? This doesn't just apply to people who call themselves Christian. I'm asking everyone to guage their own lives against their impression of the man we know as Jesus. 10 is completely Christ-like, 0 is not at all.

For instance, I would give a 10 to Ghandi (a Hindu) and zero to Rupert Murdoch and George Bush (born again Christians).

Criteria might include:

* your relative wealth or poverty (Christ was poor)
* your indifference to materiality
* your love for the poor and downtrodden
* your willingness to mix with people others despise
* your hatred for oppression
* your dedication to peace
* the example you set others
* your ability to encourage others to live selfless (not necessarily Christian) lives

By all means dispute or add to these criteria, but please explain why. Don't make up things Jesus didn't say or do.

I'm going to go for 6.5 for myself.

I have am going to speak at a women's retreat. The theme is "knowing the voice of God". I am going to teach a little, but I also want to do some type of activity where all the women can participate. Do you know of any good ones? Or do you know a website where I can find ideas?
Serious answers only. Thanks

As a Braves fan, it had to be the 1991 World Series. Watching Dan Gladden cross home plate in the bottom of the 10th cut like a knife. The Braves had been a HORRIBLE team for years, and to have them have a fantastic season, play that well, come that close, and to lose it stung pretty badly that night.

I opted to out this in P&S because there's more traffic here than in the general Sports section.

Awhile back when Jax came back I could have sworn I saw someting about Court comming back. You know Helana could have done something to her to fake her death. I think she should come back just to throw a wrench into the mix. What do you think?

I was married, and had a daughter. When I divorced, I kept my married name, because I wanted to have the same last name as my child. I'm pregnant now, and will not be marrying the baby's father. Would it be wrong for me to hyphenate my new baby's name with my current (and ex-husband's) last name, as well as the baby's father's last name? I have no intention of ever changing my last name, regardless of whether I marry again or not.

be they so removed from the Pirate Jesus they forget they are to leave the world alone and focus on themselves and thy matey's. In the Pirate code passed down from him who was god of rum is not the code meant to teach other pirates to fix themselves and show the rightness of being a pirate through living a pirate life? Did he command ye to force children in school to recite the pirate code? To legislate the pirate code so others would be forced to walk the plank or accept the code as thy own?
Arrr, he did no such thing. He commanded ye not to whine if other pirates sail the 7 seas. To not whine ye be persecuted when ye not be, for that is against the code and bears false witness against another pirate.
Arrr, remember the code of the Pirate Jesus and stop following the the mutiny of the Pirate Paul, arrrr!!!

Happy talk like a pirate day!

Read the entire article and tell me Presidential EOs aren't placed for future use, even when they look benign at the time....

"Reporter banned from secret meeting on selling U.S. assets"

"Why is it that all these PPP and SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership) meetings are behind closed doors," Corsi asked, "and government officials and their supporters think that's normal? But when investigative reporters want to attend and report on what is being said, we are the ones who get accused of being the conspiracy theorists?"

"Public-private partnerships, or PPPs, were authorized by Executive Order No. 12803 President George H.W. Bush signed on April 30, 1992, clearing federal barriers for cities and states to lease public works infrastructures to private investors."
