if it's true that there's a God,can anyone explain why are people pretending to be kind and honest (like they're praying everyday) always have the comfort and joice of life rather than the real people who's purely kind and honest....There's sumthing wrong in Catholic Bible right? It only refers to the rule of person not the rule of God in this chaotic world......

prove that the set {1,x,x^2} is linearly independent?
my confusion is
as we know X^2 -2x +1=0 or x^2+2x+1=0 then how i can show that
a(1)+b(x)+c(x^2)=0 implies a=b=c=0 for linearly independent. a,b,c are elements of field.
similarly how i show {1+x, 1+x+x^2} is linearly independent.

Hey y'all, I had a liver transplant in March and have had one complication after another since then. I'm on week 2 of my third hospital stay and it looks like it is going to be a fairly long stay until I get some platelet issues resolved, The food, lack of mobility and joint pain are making the stay a bit of a challenge. Music, company , and a caring medical staff are the highpoints of my day. Any other good strategies out there?

My car has an automatic transmission, are they any benefits of applying the parking brake while parked? I heard it enables your back brakes to last longer if you use your parking brake.

I painted a small area of a plastic object with an all purpose paint and the paint seems to bond fine without a primer, however, the painted objects are stored where they bang against wood and I am constantly finding small spots that I have to touch up. Is there anything that can seal this paint on to take a little more abuse. They seem to fall victim just to light bumps and it is getting kind of annoying.
