Why is it that some qualifications do not reflect a clear standard? Some GCSEs are easier than others?

Also, some 'A' Levels are different standards (levels of ability).
Someone I know was going to do'A' Level Psychology, but was told that she may as well do a Degree in Psychology as it is not much harder. Clearly, a degree should be of a much higher standard and reflect a much higher level of understanding and learning.

Recent thriller set in Berlin, in English ?

I saw a movie, set in Berlin, but in English, with most of the cast spoke with British accents. (Though I didn't recognise any of them).

The main character was called David Glover, who worked for a courier/messenger company. He got caught up in a ploy by a female assassin called Lara / Lorca to kill off witnesses in a trial. Her trademark weapon was a crossbow.

The police think that the guy is the killer, and chase him and his girlfriend.

The film ends with a chase - the killer in a boat, the guy on a motorbike and the police in cars and a helicopter.

Anyone know this film - what's it called ?

What can I do to teach the ppl upstairs a lesson next time they wake me up at 5am by being noisy?

Heya, last night at 5am suddenly loads of noise started upstairs, they randomly put on 1 song really loudly, then after that I heard someone, who must be the size of an elephant, jumping up and down and walking around thudding their feet, it was so loud my ceiling was creaking. Then they started playing guitar and wailing along to it, after about half an hr a taxi pulled up, someone yelled like a caveman out of the window at him, then I heard the fat guy fall down, get up and run down the stairs and get into it. I've never heard footsteps from upstairs before so this friend of theirs must have been huge cos it was soooo loud. When I got up this morning I noticed he'd left the front door to the building wide open! After that there was no noise but by this time I was wide awake. They did this the night before but last night was worse. I was just about to put on some loud music so they got the hint, but luckily then that fat guy went home. Any suggestions for if it happens again?

How long will it take flea product to work on my cats?

I used the stuff you sqeeze onto the back of their necks (Hertz brand) yesterday, but they still have live fleas. Is this because the stuff didn't work, or will it take more time?

Would it be better for Kate and Gerry to be charged in order to clear their name?

I believe now it’s the only way they can clear their name- “Gerry and Kate feel it would be better for them to be charged so they could prove their innocence. In court it would be there for all to see how ridiculous the charges and the evidence are. Unfortunately their reputations have been tarnished and no matter what happens people will think they are guilty,”

Is Harrow a good place to live in London?

Hello,

I might be moving to London soon. And I was wondering whether to live in Harrow or not. What I'm interested in are:
- low crime, safe and clean neighbourhood;
- lots of things to do (shopping, pubs, parks);
- low cost;
- good transport connections.

Would living in Harrow provide some of these things?

I live on the west coast (California) and I don't know of anyone out here that uses oil to heat their homes. We use electricity and natural gas.

why can't i stop him manipulating me?

My bitter ex-husband is requesting DNA on an child that he is as certain as me that my daughter cannot bioloically be his. although he has brought her up as his own for the last 12 years.
He takes me to court for the stupidest things and when the court gave him in-direct contact , he would only contact the children a day or 2 before a court hearing, which have been nearly every few months. This time he has not been in contact for exactly 8 weeks now and i'm getting fed up with him pulling all the strings.
My solictor has advised me to agree to the DNA but i cannot see the point when we both know the result.
Becasue of my own upbringing we have not told my daughter about her paternity and YES i know you will judge me anyway, but i have to tell her the truth which i m prepared for (temper, anger possible hatred the whole nine yards) so wh do i have to put her through he pain of something we already know, won't that just cause her more pain than finding out we have led to her?

See also John 20:28-31 and then 21:25. Also in the Bible, what did Jesus do and say at his ages 12-30 when He was Incarnate God-Man here ? Bible states nothing.

Is our One True Living Word of God the Bible ? or He -- our Master Jesus Christ -- here now fully in Spirit ?

God is Spirit ! or God is Book ? Do we worship God in Spirit and in Truth ! or in Book and in Church ?

Our Living Savior Jesus here unifies all sincere Christians; and the 37,000 plus different Christian church intellectual doctrines and creeds about the Bible divide us terribly !

Did God Reveal about 975 pages or so of Bible text, and then cease Revealing ? If yes or no, WHY do you so believe or so Know ?

"Most atheists don't give a monkey's rear end what you believe"?

I'm sorry, but I just have to ask. If that's true, why is so much time and effort expended here arguing against that belief. Surely there is something you'd rather do than argue about something you don't care about.

Is O.J. being framed again?

Last time he was framed by racist police officers for a murder he didn't commit. Now it seems they haven't given up and they are trying to frame him for robbery. Why can't they just leave him alone?
