Everyone loves to talk about gravitational waves, but it's just too weak of a force and too tied up with our sense of space-time to really be measured...

So has anyone really done measurements on the propagation of large-scale changes of a straight electric/magnetic field?

In my sillyness I imagine some scientist in the pacific ocean turning some massively strong electromagnet on and off @ a predetermined frequency and some other scientist sitting in the atlantic ocean with some incredibly delicate and sensitive field indicator expecting to measure disturbances at the predetermined frequency by some time offset that hopefully makes sense given all that we know about field interaction and relativity.

Tried to find information on this through normal noob-y means (wiki, google) and failed so I ask here.

Here is the way that the Supreme Court explained it in a 1947 case called Everson v. Board of Education. I am going to enumberate these 7 sentences, which the Court did not do in 1947.
1) Neither a state nor the Federal Government can set up a church.
2) Neither can pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another.
3) Neither can force nor influence a person to go to or to remain away from church against his will or force him to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion.
4) No person can be punished for entertaining or professing religious beliefs or disbeliefs, for church attendance or non-attendance.
5) No tax in any amount, large or small, can be levied to support any religious activities or institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may adopt to teach or practice religion.

To be continued, .....

what's the funniest thing you have ever seen happen on a golf course......

mine was these guys ahead of us, we were waiting for him to hit the ball to the next green and one of them was showing off in front of us, he was pretty loud and kept saying that us girls were rubbish at golf, so the guy took off his shirt, did a little wiggle with his bum, swung at the ball and his club flew out of his hands and landed in a pond...me and my mates fell about laughing our heads off, and he stormed off the green in a big strop...we saw him later in the clubhouse pretty red faced, but i made it worse by saying "ooh look heres mister know it all" he got up, mumbled something to us and got in his car, i have never laughed so much in my life, never seen him again after that, what was the funniest thing you've ever seen happen on a golf course?

1. All religions teach different thing (either christ is the savior or he isn't, the prophet Mo' is the last prophet or he is not)

2. Since all religions teach different things, they can't all be true.

3. If they can't all be true, then either;
A) One is right and all others are wrong.
B) They are all false (as in mythology)

4. If one religion is right and all others are wrong, then why is that not obvious to everyone. Wouldn't a TRUE religion have a great advantage of false religions (say the answering of prayers for example)

5. Therefore, if you cannot offer a really good argument as to why your religion contains a sacred truth that other religions do not have access too, or you admit that religion is just a modern form of mythology.

Can you do it? Can you prove that your religion is real? Why not?
