I have three tattoos: lower back, lower stomach, and ribs (left side), each of them have very special meanings to me. If your extremely concerned ask her about them. They might have a special meaning to her. Just talk to her about it. And please don't listen to these people who say lower back tattoos are tramp stamps. That is just a stereotype. Tattoos don't make a person, a person's character does. I have one and I'm a very classy, intelligent person. Sometimes people do get tattoos for the wrong reasons such as: just because they think it's "cool," or a "fad," but for the majority of us, we get tattoos to mark a time in our life, or to represent something meaningful to us. Good Luck

There are worse things that your granddaughter could be doing with her body than getting a tattoo. Some kids are cutting and branding. Choose your fights wisely, my mom
use to say...If your relationship, with your granddaughter, was solidly on track, you would already have the answer to these questions. Start by not seeming judgmental about her lifestyle choices. Just ask about the tattoos...Let her say what she will. Accept her for who she is. Kids need support and guidance at any age. If they have a soft place to fall, they will open up a lot more readily. I know this is all coming from a good place in your heart, but think it out really well before jumping in. Good Luck Who knows, you might even go someday and get a small tattoo with her , it's a bonding thing. Tattoos have brought more people together than marriage counselors.

So? Is she at least 18 or is it legal to have a parents consent? If she's 18 or had them done legally you can't do anything about it. She wanted them and tattoos aren't "fads". They've been around too long to call them that, just deal with it and ask her why she did it. Only your grand daughter can tell you that. If you want, ask to see her lower back tattoo, if not then don't.

How old is your granddaughter? If she is underage is her mom allowing her to get her tattoos? Yes, it is possible that they are a fad, but she made the choice to put them on her body. I have 2 tattoos, but I was in my mid-20s when I got them. Still my mom didn't understand why I got them. Maybe you should just ask your granddaughter why she got them and what they mean to her.

You should not be concerned. Many happy, well adjusted people have tattoos. Many are very successful and lead fulfilling, mainstream lives. Tattoos alone are not a reason to be worried about someone. Relax, I'm sure your granddaughter is and will be fine :)

Have the new wife's face put into it. Just a matter of time anyway. Personally when doing tats of future exes, I prefer using the rack instead of jackals. Most women prefer the rack because the elongation makes them appear thinner. Or if you are a hip, modern guy, perhaps the flesh eating bacteria tat of wifey. Now, that would be groovy.

I don't think you should be concerned... maybe you should talk to her and see what the tattoos represent and try to get to know her better, your judging her off her tattoos and i think a stranger would do that and your her family so i think you should talk to her and get to know whats behind those tattoos

what are you concerned about? well, i am 21 years old, graduated hs with honors, in my 3rd year of nursing school, and a full time graphic designer thats doesnt even party.. and i have a 7" tattoo down my rib cage (multiple stars) and another one on my ankle. i think you should define her, as a person, not by a tattoo. just because people are tattooed, doesnt mean that they are some stereo typical bad people..

You should not worry. I have so many tattoos I have lost track of how many they are all over. I love them and that does not make me a bad person. I am drug, alcohol and cigarette free. I believe in God and all that is good. You can have tattoos and still be very true.
