I see is a new "report it" button. Maybe the new format is something that some of us have and some of us don't. Do you have a new format? What does it look like?

... you were to put Friedrich Nietzsche, Ayn Rand and Anton LaVey all in the same room? What conversations would stir? Would arguments ensue? Utterly uncomfortable silences, maybe?

I guess what I'm asking is, do you think these three have clear distinctions in their philosophies, or are they just historical figures who've reiterated the same ideas of existentialism/objectivism/satanism?

from teh score 24-3 it looks like a thorough *** kicking, but yeah... i wasnt impressed. i thought the offensive starters looked good in preaseason and looked like **** (except for AP who was a beast) today in my opinion. a lot of analysts have them going 4-12 or 5-11, i think theyll maybe go 8-8 or 9-7. what do you think?

It Was Only a Quarter

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home
to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, "You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it." Then he thought, "Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet." When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change." The driver, with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday." When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, "Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter."

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test! Always be on guard and remember that you carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself "Christian."
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Since extremists literature has already been brought up tonight I thought I'd continue that theme with a question about the Gor novels written by John Norman---what do those here think of them? Since they were written to attract an audience of teenage males does anyone think it has affected our society?
I was only able to ever read three of the books myself and even though I am a woman I did go with the "philosphy" for many years before....for lack of a better explanation "outgrew" it and went with a more realistic philosphy.

I am pregnant with my third child and due on Halloween! The past few months have been horrendous on my marriage. Although my husband and I have been married for more then 16 years, I feel we are growing further and further apart. When I was pregnant with our first two daughters, my husband was a joy to me, bringing me things in bed, coming home early to make me dinner, and he even took a paternal leave after she was born, to stay home with me and help out around the house. But soon after I found out about having our third, he has been the complete opposite. I should add that our 3rd WAS completely planned, so it's not like he wasn't ready. He stays out later from work, doesn't help out with the kids or the cleaning, and always has an attitude. In fact my 13 yr old daughter has been three times as helpful, as my husband has in the last 4 months. I fear he is perhaps cheating, and when I questioned him of this he said no way and then jut dropped it. I am so scared for the sake of my family, and I feel I will have to raise a third child on my own. I am at a complete loss, and need some advice, please anything will help! Thanks!
