the offense is not great the d will lead the team. Jacksons job is to not make mistakes, maybe peterson gives them a great run game.

Vikings won by more than I expected today. I think the Vikings aren't that good of a passing team, since they got no big WR or threat. Their running game is pretty good, since they got Chester Taylor back for another year for the Vikings and drafting Adrian Peterson as a 2nd back. The defense is pretty solid. They had the best rush defense last year and allowed only I think it was about 60 yards rushing per game. They need work with Tarvais Jackson for QB not a big arm, but makes passing completions.

cosidering that most of the football world has been pointing out that AP is all the offense Minnesota has.... I think they did way better than any objective football fan could have asked for. Considering that the team is nothing but question marks beside Peterson, I think you guys should all be happy.....you guys haven't scored like that since before the Love Boat.
I could see a 6-7 win season....the reat of the North is actually playin now....so it's gonna be a fight to get more.
*RootZoo......why? Opinions are Opinions....and thats all they are there also....havent heard any of the networks combing it for new analysts.... and I have seen plenty of equally stupid "advice" there....
*Tim....I guess you missed GreenBay trouncing Philly (who could probably handle the Vikes in their sleep), or Detroit overcoming a Oakland Defense that ranked higher than yours in total D...and was first against the pass.....how did the Vikings secondary do? And I expect that you'll see plenty more of that passing game, when they exploit your secondary.......don't let fan bias overcome common sense....and cussing me out wont prove a thing, so don't wear out yyour fingers getting mad at me. Lets let the season prove who's right.

It was a fluke win... there were a couple this week but this was the biggest IMO. Not because they beat a good team (we all know that isn't the case), but because the Vikings are such a bad team that this can be described as nothing more than a fluke victory. While the defense did bring in two scores don't forget about who threw those passes, Joey Harrington. That touchdown pass to Adrian Peterson was nothing more than a panic dump off which luckily for Jackson was caught by Peterson. My hats off to Minnesota for pulling off the upset of the week in this one, but don't look for it to happen anymore.

Im a vikings fan, andw after looking at the scheduele i agreee with 8-8. Look anyone who says that the vikings wont do better then green bay and especisally detriot is retarded. I dont care how imporved they are, they are still poor teams with big holes. The vikings improved on a solid D, and now have a sick RB. I dont know if ud call jacksons game s***, it was ok. So yeah. 8-8 decent playoff hopes. Next year will definately be a great year for us, and this is just the begining.

It's going to be a week by week thing with the Vikings!! AP was awesome & so was the defensive line but beyond that, only time will tell!!! I think 9-7 is a good bet!!!

yeah the score looks like they whooped. but it was them just beating a confused team basically. Yeah their D will lead them, offense- eh i wont comment on that.
but great D can make up for a lacking offense, last year consider the bears, they did have some good offensive moments but mostly it was the D.
i say 8-8 or better.

if they improve thier often i can see them becoming an 8-8 team..since their def. has alway been alright..but thier offense lack ..so if they dont improve in the offense area look for them to have an 5-11 games
