I'm thinking of buying a Playstation 3 but its not in stock anywhere but it is online. I'm just wondering if there are any cons to buying it online, like if its not safe to ship, or something like that. This may seem like an odd question but I'm just trying to get all the info i can b4 i buy it.

If you are saying that everything is not in stock. I can recommend you to buy it at amazon.com since it is very reliable. There are really no cons for buying at amazon.com. Another choice is going to Circuit City's Website or other website and go to their store. If you don't see any of them go to their website and purchase it from them. That would be the safest way. I have experience problems like that. I kept asking the sellers question and they seem to always respond the next day. I decided not to buy from them. I bought mine on a classifieds website. If you are interested in classifieds I recommend craigslist.org. On the right hand side of the page you can find the state and the city you live in.

I bought my PS3 online last year and it was shipped to my home town and then my mom sent it to my college address and there wasn't any problems shipping it at all and my PS3 didn't get banged around or anything.
I buy stuff online all the time, so I think that it is o.k. to buy it online. Gamestop.com or Amazon.com are 2 good sellers.

Buy from a very reputable place , Like circut city, target, etc.... Make sure that you are actually in their website. They all have phone numbers you can call to verify that you are in their site. Other then that you should be Okay.... After you order you will get bogus emails from scams saying that your order did not go through please click here and re enter your credtit card info etc.... Don't fall for it or use that link ...go directly to the site you ordered from and check the status of your order without using any url links from the suspected bogus emails..

You really can't find any of them. Where I live there is at least 3 of them at any store that sells them, like Wallmart, Best Buy, Meijers, Gamestop. I think you should call the store you want to buy it from and ask when they are getting a shipment and buy it then

check your local best buy. the one where i am has a lot of ps3s in stock. you're better off checking it out in a store, rather than online. too many questions about the shipping, that would concern me.
