I am a beginning gardener, finally getting around to fixing up the overgrown weed-infested landscaping in our backyard. See pictures...this is the area I am working with. Basically, I dug up all the weeds, chopped and dug out some Yuccas (what a nightmare), and i am left with all this soil that has roots all over in it. I researched and ordered the plants I want there and have a design ready for when they get here.

How do I get the area actually ready to plant in? The soil has all these little root clusters in it...is that ok?

Should I dig all this soil out and replace it, or just cover with a bunch of new soil?

And since this is a big area, HOW DO I HAUL AWAY/BRING IN ENOUGH SOIL to cover this area??? I can't imagine just getting bags from a garden store, that would take so many! HELP I DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROCEED! Thanks.

My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment.
She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to
say hello to me.
I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me?
I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.
The next day at school one of my classmates said, "EEEE, your mom only has one eye!"
I wanted to bury myself.
I also wanted my mom to just disappear.
I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only goanna make
me a
laughing stock, why don't you just die?"

My mom did not respond...
I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said,
because
I was full of anger.
I was oblivious to her feelings.
I wanted out of that house

Hi All and thanks for your help!

I am 23, currently a 1st year teacher in CT fresh out of college in my first job. I have a Master's and about $11,000 in student loans.

I am interested in buying a small home this summer. I'm hoping to buy somewhere under $200k.

I have great credit. Never made a late payment in my life. All utilities for a home have been in my name for over 2 years. No debt other than the student loans. I only have one credit card, however, and I use it rarely and for never more than about $100, which I pay in full at the end of every month.

Will I be able to get a decent mortgage for that amount? Being a first-time homebuyer? I will have a down payment of about $20,000 I believe. I can also, should it be necessary, have a member of my family with great credit history co-sign the loan.

What should I be doing? Advice? Is this feasible?

- 65% of university attendees are female, and the gulf is widening .. fast!
- Young career women are making more money than young males already.
- These career women are projected to dominate the upper echelon of the corporate/political/professional institutions unlike their moms' generation (they would rather choose career over family according to NY times report and won't drop out)
- the next president will likely be female.
- Boys and young men are much less focused on success than girls and young women these days.

I ask this because its a huge part of study for my religion and I have noticed many Christians, especially younger ones have no knowledge of the history of thier faith, the good AND the bad. Is that important to you?
And no I'm not being a smart ***. I'm really curious. I see denials of things that Christians did. I have never heard "Yes it happened it's a part of our past. In the end we learned from the mistakes." All I ever hear is "That wasn't us that was the ________"
Do you not honestly know the history of the church?

Yesterday I broke up with this girl, she texted messaged me and said that we would break up if i wanted to. Then she texted again and said that why was I had at her and why I haven't called her .
