So here are the symptoms (for a 92 Honda Civic):

It began with my horn not working. I figured I blew a fuse, but can't find a fuse that correlates with the horn. No big deal, but then my dash-board lights starting flickering on and off on occassion.

Now, the worst part, my stereo system makes a HORRIBLE piercing screeching noise when I start the car. Sometimes it stops, but it's gotten progressively worse and now it tends to just keep screeching and not work at all. So I have to keep it turned off. The noise in unbearable. When the radio does work, I can hear a subtle high pitch noise that gets louder as I press the gas.

I can handle most of it, but I really like to be able to listen to music. So I'm wondering, if this is some sort of electrical short, how bad is it, if it's affecting so many things?

Since my car isn't worth much, I can't see spending too much to fix this. I just want to be able to listen to my radio. What's the best and cheapest solution?

Has your mind ever grasped a concept before you have? Have you ever heard someone speak and knew in your mind exactly what they were trying to say but you did not get it while your mind did? What is this lag between the mind understanding and the self understanding? Is it the process of trying to put our thoughts into words that slow us down? I am not talking only about words that we speak; I am talking about the words that we think in. To see how quick your mind really is watch the news. While the reporter is speaking say exactly what the reporter is saying in your mind. You will be able to recite the words you are hearing exactly without any lag, but try to say the word the reporter is speaking, you cant. How can we become as brilliant as our minds?

Why did an "all-loving" God kill all of mankind and animals, only sparing Noah and his family, and the animals on the ark?

Why did an "all-loving" God kill all of the first-born sons of Egypt?

Why did an "all-knowing" God have trouble finding Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden after they ate the forbidden fruit?

Why did an "all-powerful" God allow Lucifer to rebel against him and not just shut him down from the beginning, thus negating the effect of evil into a Utopian world?

Is it my video card not having enough brain power or perhaps the video card cannot display widescreen 3000 to 1 contrast ratio? Is it Windows Vista , I have heard many people having problems with Vista. The resolution of the computer matches the resolution of the monitor so I don't know what to do now. I have also checked the drivers.

I'm thinking about getting a part-time job as a server at a chain restaurant (Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday's, Olive Garden, etc.) and have a few questions for people who have been servers or are servers:

1) On average, how many tables are you serving at one time? 3? 4? 5? I'm a little worried that I might get overloaded early on and be asked to wait on 5 tables, which is too much IMO.

2) How long is your average work shift? Does it vary depending on whether you are doing an afternoon or night shift?

3) On average, how much do you bring home in tips per shift? How much does it vary depending on the time of the shift (whether it is day/night or week/weekend)?

I've never been a sever before, so I was just curious about these issues and anything else you think I should know.

Thanks for the help in advance!

of doing work for the people of the United States? Can we please have a politician who gets elected and then looks for ways to spend their time helping the American People's lives be better instead of find fault with the other party?

Why are we as Americans continually putting people in office that take our money and then do NOTHING profitable with their time? If you want to just throw your money away, why not give it to me. I could find something useful to do with it.

I have had many funny dreams, however one that stands out in my mind is about this award show, and a guy was awarded best dresser. He came onto the stage wearing hot pink plastic pants, and he was laughing the whole way through. I could not understand how he was picked best dressed.

I am supposed to fix a javascript menu for someone and it regards a hyphen. Everything after the after is missing and as soon as I remove the hyphen and reload everything appears.

I have been told you cannot use hyphens in javascript and even when I try to fake it with the html code for a hyphen the info behind it vanishes. There has got to be a way to do this.
