I am supposed to fix a javascript menu for someone and it regards a hyphen. Everything after the after is missing and as soon as I remove the hyphen and reload everything appears.

I have been told you cannot use hyphens in javascript and even when I try to fake it with the html code for a hyphen the info behind it vanishes. There has got to be a way to do this.

What is the correct code?

amper ndash semicolon
(I can't place an ampersand and a semicolon punctuation marks here and without spaces, but the character string 'ndash' should be used literally, got it?)
or, in the quoted string, backslash the hyphen.
