He is very strong-willed most of the time, and has no real friends to speak of. One of his compulsions is to leave the house in the morning, and come back, as if he forgets something. He does this every single day. Unfortunately, as he continues to age, his OCD and weird behavior is becoming more pronounced and difficult to deal with, in my opinion. It isn't like he washes his hands or anything like that (he's actually quite a slob), but he is becoming harding to deal with as he is very argumentative and always has to prove that he's right or that he's in charge (of what, I don't know). He's been unbearable to go out to eat with, because he tries to argue with the servers, or he tells them before he even gets his food that "the last time he got a salad they didn't put enought lettuce on, and [he] doesn't want to get 'short changed'," which is a lie. He refuses all & any meds (because of the side effects) and he won't see a therapist (because he's stubborn and cheap).

Any advice?

i'm not perfect nor pretend to be, i cheated on my girlfriend yrs ago & she returned the favor, which i deserved but i had always stated i didn't ever want to be married just for personal reasons but she insisted she would stay with me even if we weren't married. We've been together now 11yrs (2yrs married) she commutes to the next city for work & continue her education(2hrs away) i found out she's having an affair, this strikes me in the heart if she was my g/f & this had happened i could easily get past this but being that she's my wife, I find it just very distressing....but i can't let her & my kids go...so i'll suck it up & continue through the motions, she says it's over (since i found out) but who cares i just want to be with my kids.

90 year old being interviewed by the local paper on the occasion of his birthday.

" I never touched alcohol all my life. And I have remained clibate so that I could keep myself free from sin."
Reporter "Well, um , yes, very interesting ".
Then there is a crash and thump from the upstairs room .
"What was that ? " asked the reporter.

I sort of have an answer formulated on this, but thought I would ask out of interest and see what your opinions are. Aside from the usual hate-mogering "Islam abuses women" thing.

The reason I ask this question is because I can't find ANYWHERE in the Qu'ran where it determines that women are less worthy to lead prayer or be scholars of faith. Even in Hadith, Aisha taught much of Islam and Mohammed would refer people to her to learn much of what is considered practical. Also, Fatima (his daughter) had a fair hand (pun intended) in the teachings and practices of Islam as well.

Should women be allowed to be Imam? Should a woman be allowed to make the Azan? Why or why not?
