Speaking of "now language", I've noticed that in the past ten years people have been trying to use other words other than Cool, which is something I've used since 3rd grade when I was about 9, around 1992-1993. I didn't want to use "that's hot" because it just sounds like I'm copying Paris, lol. I mean I have used the term hot before to describe a guy or something but I still use cool, is that passe?

Do Mormons have a image of Christ on their altar or do they have people on it?

I am a Christian so naturally we a Crucifix on our altar as a reminder that Jesus suffered for our sins and that God loves us.

But I read that Mormons think that they can be gods (I guess that Mormons think that they created the Earth). I also read that they have people on bleachers on their altar. Does the congregation worship the people on the altar?

In the Christian churches people sit to the side of the altar because it would be blasphemous to sit in front of a picture depicting God. Also, I never see Mormons wearing Crucifixes. Even though they don't believe that Jesus is God do they believe that He suffered for our sins? It's funny that they hijacked Jesus' name for their church and they don't believe as Christians believe (that Jesus is God, the ONLY God).

I wondered if any of you have received e-mails from others on R & S?

With the exception of one e-mail, I have recently been receiving wonderfully positive e-mails from others on the R & S---since I am pretty new here, I wondered if ya'll receive mostly positive e-mails and if those have led to long lasting friendships? I have received nice e-mails from those of all Beliefs, including Atheist----how about you?

what was your favorite part in the 7th harry potter book?? SPOILERS!!?

my favorite part was chapter 33 because i so didnt expect snape to love lily. and i would never imagine that they knew each other before Hogwarts. i also love how in the past books you get this impression of Snape being this awful guy who hates harry but in that chapter you realize that he is capable of love!! i thought it was so cute. i also love that chapter until the end. i mean, that was a great way to end the book!

Will I ever stop craving a cigarette?

I quit smoking about a month and a half ago...cold turkey...but i still want one sooo bad...ive been chewing gum, using hard candy, and trying anything to occupy my mind and hands...but its getting so tempting. How much longer will this last? I smoked for about 10 yrs, pack and a half a day. Any other ideas to help ease the cravings? I dont want to do a patch or anything, since ive made it this long cold turkey...help!
