It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

If you believe that your world will end in 2015, I guarantee that you will find the means and opportunity to end your world. What you think and feel, you become and you are. Believe in self-destruction and you will self-destruct.
I believe I will live to be at least 150 years old. That is what I choose to manifest. And if that is the case, then no, the world will not end in 2015.

well since we are talking about the bible "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.'
What it's saying is that no one will know when the world will end. If it does it won't be from disease or weather. It'll be from our own hands.
And plus people have been saying that world will end for centuries. And I'm pretty sure it didn't. Unless we're living in a matrix or wormhole.

Scientists didn't say that, but the ancient Mayan (or possibley Aztec, they are very similar, and I always get them confused...) calender, which was INCREDIBLEY accurate predicted the end of the world in 2015.
Personally, I'm looking forward to finding out if it is true...

Every few years I hear some group or person talk about an end but the date comes and goes. Actually human existence will end but the world will still be here. Could have ended a few times already for all we know. We're just another animal waiting to die off, except it will be by our own hands.

No it is not going to end in 2015. There are no indications out there to say that is true.
Global warming would have to increase by 10,000 fold for it to have such an impact in such little time.
The chances of a nuke attack are also pretty slim right now.
So unless Aliens beam down I think we are pretty safe at the moment so continue to pay into your 401K :)

The world will end whenever we want it to end. As humans we have the capability to solve, avoid, and recover from all natural disasters. If we continue fighting each other and going to world, perhaps our downfall will be in 2015. If we are able to create peace perhaps we can do further scientific research to prevent natural disasters from all that exists.

if it is of any comfort to you, I say that your friend has no clue. by the way.. people have been predicting the end of the world for hundreds of years.. if your friend is picking some time line from the bible and multiplying the years since the formation of Israel then he is just one of many who are dead wrong.. I am amazed by those people who make those predictions.. not one of them has God in their pocket.. but they claim they do.. tell your friend to get over it.. Lots of bad things were supposed to happen at the begginning of the so called new millenium but guess what.. .. nada..

I think that perhaps that specific date is just a tad premature. While we are certainly taking this planet down the path of wreck and ruin, nature, often times has a way of forgiving our royal screw-ups. That being said, however, I firmly believe that eventually we will indeed, no longer be welcomed.

I do not believe what the scientists say about this because I am a firm believer in the Bible and the Bible states in the book of Matthew that God will return like a thief in the night and no one! knows when this will be!
