I inadvertently downloaded an unwanted virus-like thing (it doesn't show up in the "remove programs" nor will it let lavasoft adaware remove it nor will my AVG protection identify it. But it controls my home page, has a bar on top that says :Security Toolbar 7.1 and a pop-up on the bottom that wants money. I am being held hostage by this thing. Please help, I am not that computer literate so please give step by step directions if you know the process! Thank you.

I'm confused how people say you are suppose to run your fan in the summer. The general idea would be counter-clockwise as far as the blades spin so you feel the air blowing down, but if you're upstairs where it's generally hotter wouldn't it make sense to have the blades spinning the other way so it pulls the cooler air up and blows it around. Since heat rises, and it's hotter toward the ceiling I would've thought blowing that air down is just hot air. Help?

I've never came out and told him I liked him but mutual friends have told him and I didn't deny it. Ever since then, this dude would act so weird around me- freeze up or act like I wasn't there. Now, I barely see him and I have his #. I text him and he doesnt text back. If I call him, he has reasons of why he can't talk. We've only had ONE conversation where he ACTUALLY talked to me. He won't do anything. But he DOES smile IF he talks to me in person. He's really not the outgoing type, so I am I getting rejected or is he just shy? His friends say I'm intimidating and I don't see how. Could I be frightening him away? How can I let him know how I feel without completely messing up my chances? (if I have any)

Ok, I just watched this show for the first time tonight. This show is blowing my mind! A 42 year old woman could not answer this question by herself:

"If the diameter of a circle is 4, what is the radius of the circle?"

Now, you don't have to be a genuis to answer this question, or even particularly smart. Does anyone else agree with me that all this show does is demonstrate to the world how stupid Americans really are. I'm very sorry to say this being an American myself but, seriously? You be the judge.

I have put high grade fuel in, tried oil additive. Considering a complete oil flush and put synthetic oil in there. How long will my car last with this ticking noise? What should I do about this? Mechanic told me to slap a $1000 sticker on and said it would last a couple weeks. My dad told me that his father had a similar noise on his old cavalier and it lasted 3 years. Any suggestions? 1989 Buick Regal Auto Tranny 112000 K V6 2.8L Thanks all!

There are many alternative energy sources out there, but none that are readily available, cheaper then gas, and easy to retrofit on an automobile. Electric cars are great but have you seen any recharging facilities near your home? No.

I mean who cares what he neighbor down the street is making? Why do people lose sleep over this? If i see a rich person. Chrisitians; every time an atheist posts something that is against your beliefs you say that "you just don't understand because you aren't a believer" or "if you would just open your heart to Jesus, you would understand". I was a Christian once and I did open my heart to Jesus and guess what? I still left the religion. I was at one time a hardcore Christian.

I thought that the Bible was the absolute truth and I accepted Jesus into my heart. But still I saw that Christianity wasn't the truth. I saw that the Bible is flimsy and riddled with holes and I saw that it wasn't the truth?

How do you explain this? How do you explain that a firm believer who has accepted Jesus could still fall? How am I mistaken? How could this have happened?

I took the SAT for the first time in June and made a 1570 without any preparation. I plan to take it again in October. I am number 11 out of 445 at the end of my junior year. I have a 3.931 cumulative unweighted GPA and a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.639. I am a member of the National Beta Club and the National Honor Society.
