Can't you see it. The "left" are using the freedom of speech to stop others from the freedom to speak truth that they want to "shoot down" with all kind of accusation that they themselves are guilty of ?

You silly majority clueless American are hook-winked by the "snake in the grass-liberals politicians. We from the East, can see it very clearly from CNN, Fox's etc and from the local newspapers reporting on America's News and Current affairs- it seem pretty clear to us that what is happening in America is not only laughable, silly and ridiculously untenable nor allowed if it happen in Singapore and now even Australia as a Nation have put their foot down and spelled out clear defining law for those who want to chose Australia as their Country of adoption.

Why can't USA do like-wise ?

You set the rule not the immigrant !

True! Every time I get in a political discussion with a liberal they end up shouting stupid campaign rhetoric at me.. You know "Bush lied people died" I ask them exactly what he lied about and then they shout how stupid he is , never answering my question at all just switching to some new "talking point". Then look at me with this "oh poor you your just to stupid to understand the sublety of my argument" look on their face.

It's really not liberals you have to blame for illegal immigration issues in the US. It's big business. Every plan to actually enforce laws about only employing people who are actually eligible to legally work in the US has been opposed by business.

The Social Security Administration could give us a pretty good start on figuring out who is not legally able to work in the US. They get social security payments for 1) numbers that don't exist or 2) numbers that don't make any sense (i.e. a toddler with 10 jobs in 3 states). The last time they attempted to send letter suggesting that there were mismatch problems because some of them could just be a stupid error there was a huge backlash.

Business likes low wages. Illegal immigrants work for low wages and generally don't complain about the working conditions.

If we were serious about stopping illegal immigration in this country, we would follow-up in Social Security irregularities and punish employers who hire illegal immigrants. Instead we turn the other way.

Who's truth? Yours? No thanks. You don't indicate which country you are from, and it really doesn't matter. You clearly aren't American and just as I probably wouldn't understand your culture you severely misunderstand ours.

Freedom of speech applies to everyone. Whether they shout, whisper or beat time on a tin drum for effect it's free speech, period. Whether we are Republicans, Libertarians, Democrats, Independents or none of the above we all treasure and use our freedom of speech every single day.
See the way it goes here, your truth likely isn't everyone else's truth and everybody has the right to make that decision for themselves. Then when we're done exercising that right we vote and there isn't anyone who can "outshout" another person's vote.

Just as a side note? We have enough intelligence to look past someone who is shouting in order to get the whole story and then make up our own minds. So move on down the road with your patronizing tone and condescending manner and deal with your own country's problems. You have no idea how to solve ours.

You've got it. There is no one they can put on TV, radio, or Internet that anyone with an ounce of gumption would listen too, I mean thank about it who wants to hear someone who thinks like ted Kennedy or markee or Harry Reaid talk on the radio or anything for that matter? so they try to drown out the voices of reason, Rush, Imus and the rest because they cant stand to hear the truth and they really don't want the public to hear it, because then they might start thinking on their own, and God knows the Liberals cant have that, people thinking on their own.

I understand your frustration. I am a bleeding-heart-liberal. But I do think for myself, so I'm not crazy about the label. I just lean that way more than any other. But, read my answers. I do not shout, put down or try to convince others that I am right. Please do not pigeon hole us all in the same label.
I want what is best, just as you do. However, I do not know the best way to get it. You don't either even if you are one who thinks they know all the answers. no offense meant, really.
I'm sorry you have your mind-set about liberals. But we are not all the same. Don't hurt yourself with so much anger and hate. It only hurts you, not me. None of us know all the answers absolutely, but we do want what is best for America. We are just going at it in different ways. Sometimes liberal is the best way, and sometimes conservative is the best. It just depends. That's why we have room for both kinds of ppl.

may Peace be unto you.

Are we? Hell I didn't know I was loud enough to shout down anyone. What truth anyway? Valuable contributions like widows "enjoying the death of thier husbands" or muslims "hating our freedom"?
Of course it is not true - this is just another pathetic attempt to blame liberals for the right's inability to defend the indefensible. One of those marvelously logical right wing arguments - any attempt by liberals to use thier freedom of speech is actually opposing freedom of speech. Right up there with giving up our rights and freedoms in order to fight those who would deny us our rights and freedoms.
Why don't cons just stop this silly victim siege mentality. You have controlled both houses the white house, the supreme court and most of business yet still like to say you are hard done by.

Lets hope the Liberals don't get 8 more years to dismantle our rights and freedoms. You are right on top of your sh_t kid.

Not. But even if it were true--this is what freedo of speech is about. If you feel the other guy is outshouting you, get a bigger microphone.

Remember--you have the right to speak. Anything else--including getting someone to listen--is YOUR problem.

Go ahead and watch Shaun Hannity interview a Democrat on Fox News. Then you will see a true example of stopping the truth by out shouting them....
