How are most background checks conducted? Is it only by the states I list where I've lived? Or do employers simply check all states? I know background checks cost money to perform. I was born and raised in CA but moved to NV. I wanna go back to CA because of all the trouble that I have gotten in in NV. When I move back to CA, can't I just put down on my applications for employment that I have ALWAYS lived in CA?

So i recently found out that the dalai lama is the reincarnation of the previous dalai lama, they say it takes a couple of years to find that person

and all the dalai lamas seem to have been tibetan....um...about reincarnation...cant the previous dalai lama be black, white, indian, etc??

She has no family or anybody so my boss, who was her financial advisor, is her trustee and the executor of her estate. So I made copies of the only photo I could find and on the back I'm putting a lable with her name, dob and dod, and a little Bible verse since she was REALLY Catholic.

I hooked up my friends tommy's hard drive to my dell dimension 8200.
it wasn't working on his, so i was trying to test it.
instead of starting up, it stopped working.
he has ME on it and when I hooked it up to my computer it showed mine and his as both primary hard drives in bios.
I didn't think nothin of it as I was just trying to see if his would boot on mine.
the computer froze so i hooked mine back up.
windows 2000 didn't start so i tried a repair but it keeps getting stuck in registering the components during final tasks.
i tried a chkdsk but it still don't work.
help me please.
my father gonna kill me if i can't get the computer back to normal

I am reluctant to use the word atheist to describe my own unshakable disbelief. Not that I'm ashamed, afraid or even embarrassed. But simple because it seems so self evident to me, the truth, that there is no god, giving that conviction a special title somehow dignifies what it denies. After all, we don't have a special word for people who don't believe in ghosts or witches.
