A convicted and registered sex offender (he downloaded child porn from a newsgroup) in our town now owns a VERY successful coffee shop. He became successful AFTER he was released from prison. Everybody in town knows of his crime but still uses his coffee shop. He reported over 2 million in sales last year to the IRS... IS THIS FAIR AND RIGHT?

I have social anxiety disorder, I'm trying to find a job or go to school for something but it's like I make up an excuse for everything as to why I don't want to do it. I don't know if I really feel that way about the job like "it's going to be boring" or if it's just my fear of talking to people preventing me from doing things. I've seen two psychologists and neither of them helped. I mean my low self-esteem is getting better but I still don't like talking to people for fear of negative evaluation and looking like an idiot.

We are buying a home with a heating oil UST of questionable history. We know that the home has not been heated with oil since 1999, when former owners installed central air. Efforts to find or get in touch with those owners to find out what was done have been fruitless. The town building official told me to make sure it was pumped dry, fill it with sand, cut off the fill pipe below ground so that it will never be seen again. I don't have the means to pump oil, don't know how to get hundreds (or thousands?) of gallons of sand, and don't even know if cutting the top off an oil pipe with a reciprocating saw is safe (sparks?). Give a man some practical answers please. And don't tell me to call a gov't agency or a contractor, which will result in a runaround or unecessary expense for a job I could probably do myself.

Boy breaks up with girl.
Says he isn't falling in love with her. (Boy had been badly hurt by cheating ex-wife and the divorce is less than a year old).
Boy calls ex-gf a few days a week and talks for HOURS.
He calls or emails her about silly things...that really don't need discussing for any immediate reason.
He is going to a concert with her.
They hang out with other couples.
They go to church and are in a Bible study together, and are starting a band together.
Boy calls/emails girl to make sure that she is coming to his shows (that girl isn't in).
When there are things going on, they almost always come together. Sit together. Ride the double rather than the single tubes at the water park together.

But, he doesn't want to be with her? Can you see why girl is confused?

Does boy just WANT to want to be with her? Or maybe he is struggling with issues from the divorce, and just needs a break?

Actions or words? Which is a better indicator?

Every year my fat a s s neighbors (both over 350 lbs.) turn their air conditioner on as soon as the temperature goes above 50 degrees. Does this have anything to do with their weight?

I found a home that I am interested in purchasing. I called the listing agent and set up an appointment to see the house. A friend told me that I should have a buyer's agent (which I agree is a good idea). But, I thought if I liked the house, I could retain their services prior to making an offer. My friend says I can't because the buyer's agent won't get his commission if he was not there for the initial showing. Should I postpone the walk through until I retain a buyer's agent?
