I live in a dark land where tortuously slow dial up is the only internet option available. No ISP is willing to come out here. there are free hot spots 10 or 20 miles away and I could drive to them, but that severely limits the times that I can get on simply because I can't drive to the next town late at night and I'm working all day. Are there sweet designs for Wi-Fi antennas that will hit those downtown hot spots from 10-20 miles away with little or no signal loss? Are there antennas that I can buy that will pick up signal from that range? I just want to tell Bellsouth "Here's a spoon, enjoy your dial up". Can I use the plumbing of my house as an antenna? It's copper. How about my house's electrical wiring? What about the grid? That would rock! I'm desperate and I would have to move to get internet. Can I sue my ISP for being happy to keep us in the last century? Any suggestions?
Thanks
