I took the long way to my parents' house today so we would drive by the big farm and my kids could see the horses and cows.

If I'm getting paid by the hour, I take the long way, but on my time, the shortest. I used to drive a truck years ago for a company that was south of LA. If I had to take a load into LA, I would take the long way around and approach LA from the north. It only took a couple extra hours this way.

I take it just to hit the stoplights--I so hate having to pull out in traffic and yes my brother picks on me so bad for this...Oh well I never had an accident.---(knock on wood)
