According to Christian doctrine, Christians are no longer under the Levitical law, and so are not bound by dietary laws against eating swine products and crustaceans, abominations to Yahweh. But are non-Christians still under the law?

I would assume that Jews who keep kosher would not be eating bacon-wrapped shrimp. But what about other non-Christians? I know of course that Christians assert those who don't have Jesus as their savior will go to hell regardless. But more specifically, isn't a plate of bacon-wrapped shrimp grounds for damnation for those without Christ?

Grey area or clear cut? If so, how and why? Support your position please. If you think it's stupid to worry about it, point taken, thanks, move on. You're not the audience for this question. I'm interested in the viewpoints of those for whom this issue has religious relevance. Basically I am interested to know the basis for believing the law is or is not done away with, and for whom?

Here are the facts:
Weed is not addictive, although they say it is "mentally addictive" Mentally addictive is an oxy moron. The webster deffinition of addiction is "a chemical need for a substance" CHEMICAL! This means you can't get mentally addicted. Enjoying the feeling doesn't make it addicting. When i go to the movie theater i enjoy that, does that mean that I am addicted to going to the movie theater and there is a 12 step program to get off of it?
No one has ever died from it. 99.9% of the people who have died from lung cancer after smoking alot of weed also smoked cigarettes. It doesn't contain as much tar as an entire pack of cigarettes either, as some people have said. This is a blatant lie.
It doesn't make you violent. When someone smokes a joint, they don't wanna go out and rob a bank, they want to sit on the couch and watch a funny movie, listen to music, or have a nice conversation with a friend.

When we went to Iraq, the Bush administration did not say "Iraq is connected to 9/11. They said that terrorist groups were in Iraq, suchas Al Qaeda, and that they were a threat to the U.S. They never said that "Iraq is responsible for 9/11." No. They said Iraq is a threat to our security, they stated what they beleive to be correct intelligence, and Congress, the very people who are blaming Bush for this war, voted to declare war. Im ired of people saying that Bush lied, when he found out the truth, he was the first to tell you! He didn't lie! Clinton says: "Knowing what I know now, i wouldn't have gone to war in 2003. " Well isn't that convenient! All we need is a time machine! And don't get me started on this bill to withdraw troops! AHHHHH

Have you ever wished you could get inside other people's heads to see what their views and emotions were? i.e. do they have a happy, loving, angry, sullen outlook on other people in general? Do they get upset easily? What music is in their head as they walk around?

I think if we could do that then we'd have so much more inter-personal understanding. We could really find out who we have similar worldviews with without having to guess via questions and observations.

Liberal democrats are idealists, not realists. By very definition, liberalism is idealism, much like communism. It doesn't work in the real world. Sure world peace would be great. If we could all join hands, sing songs Christians with Muslims, Sunnis with Shiites etc. But it is unrealistic. So is using 1 piece of toilet paper to help save the world from global warming. What gives? Why don't liberal democrats realize they are not realists AT ALL?

PS. I do have my MS degree in Neuroimmunology and am currently in dental school (so yeah, I'm educated. Don't use that in your argument.) Thanks.
