Well if everyone else is just a figment of your imagination, then you must be highly schizophrenic not to know what these other creations of your own imagination are thinking. Also, where does your mind reside? And why do things occur that are beyond your power to control?

It basically comes down to Occam's razor. Solipsism can not be refuted absolutely, but then (especially if it can't be), you can't prove with 100% certainty that the sun will rise tomorrow, could you? I mean sure you could using physics and all that, but maybe the world will end sometime tonight. And yet, I assume you're living your life on the assumption that it won't. :-)

What solipsism comes down to is saying that because we can't know everything with 100.000% certainty, ergo there is some small chance (no matter how remote) that the world is just make-believe. From a utilitarian or practical standpoint, solipsism is a useless ideology, compatible only with nihilism.

There is only one mind. It only seems to have many aspects.

Is that what your mind (or I) is telling you?
