...before marriage?
Okay, so even if we accept that sex is for procreation only, and that only married people should have children, doesn't that really only deal with penetrative sex? Not to put too fine a point on it, but there are lots of other things you can do without issue becoming an issue - so what's the real issue?
Evolved or creatively designed, for the vast majority of people sex is extremely enjoyable - why would this be so if we didn't gain something from enjoying it beyond just the pleasure? For a couple in a (serious) relationship, especially one with a view towards marriage, isn't getting to know each others' bodies just as important as getting to know each others' minds?
