The pain started at about 8:30 PM today. I haven't done anything to my jaw, but whenever I try to eat, my left side hurts. It doesn't hurt when I open and close my mouth, but only when I open my mouth to eat. I can't chew at all. It doesn't look dislocated or anything, so why does it hurt and what can I do about it? Someone tell me before I put all my food into a blender!!

I'm not even 13 yet, so I doubt it's wisdom teeth. Also, I tried eating squishy food and it still hurts.

You could have TMJ, you need to see a dentist. It can cause pain in your neck too. Do you grind your teeth at night? That is a symptom of TMJ also.

It could be an abcessed wisdom tooth. Did you get them all pulled? See a dentist.
