Think about it. If you could care less, that means you care some. The original ("couldn't care less") already drips sarcasm, so it’s pointless to argue that the newer version is “ironic.” People who misuse this phrase are just being careless.

I hate it when someone says something, for example, "I got an A on my exam" and the person who responds and doesn't care about them getting an A says "I could care less". That would mean that they DO care, but they can care less than they already do. But if they had said "I couldn't care less" then that means that it's impossible for them to care less since they don't care at all.

I have a feeling some of the answers are going to be "I could care less" or "I couldn't care less".

The question is
Is there a traditional gift a godmother gets her goddaughter on her first communion.
If you don't have a suggestion for a gift, don't answer. I did not ask your opinion on the sacrament or for a bible lesson or even what you think of catholics. This is an important time for US and if you don't genuinley care then why waste your time answering. Thank you and sorry I have to be so clear.

I get angry when Bush waves a flag and applauds troops for their honest sacrifice in a war that he lied to start, mismanaged from the beginning, and refuses to end, while at the same time cutting benefits for injured veterans.

He got a deferment from daddy to go serve in the Air National Guard during Vietnam and didn't even report to duty so he could get high.

He is a disgrace to this country, and those who disagree with his policies are un-American, un-patriotic, cut-and-run wimps?

Bush knows nothing about honesty, sacrifice, or service, but because he waves a flag and says "God bless America", he is suddenly a patriot?

For your information, mindless Bush-lovers, I am a conservative- a true conservative. I don't advocate cutting veterans pay, passing anti-gun legislation, doubling the size of government, lying, or cowering away from service- all things this spineless chickenhawk, who we call "the leader of the free world" has done.

I stupidly got a Tetra and put it in the tank with my 4 Tiger Barbs. They are terrifying the poor Tetra and I don't know what to do. The pet store is closed till Monday and all I have is an extra goldfish bowl with no water pump or filter to put the Tetra in so they don't kill it. What to do? I know now it was stupid to get it so please don't rag me. Good advice PLEASE!

Ok, so there is this girl who attends my college. I met her last semester and we've become friends. So a little earlier this year, like 3 weeks ago, she says she likes me. I tell her that I like her as well. I ask her out on a rockclimbing date and she says yes. But when I call her up the day before she has stuff she's doing. So after this little "event," she has become more distant to me, and she is, for some reason mad at me. Does anyone think I have another chance, or is this natty thing just shot? So there's theories that the current Climate Change is natural, caused by more sunlight interacting with current greenhouse gases. In a very controlling and emotionally abusive relationship. Not to mention the person I am with is a compulsive cheater. Liek an addict. Always needs to be validated in this way by others all the time. Constantly.
