I live in OH. My neice lives in KY. She will be 11 yrs old in May.
My mother has had custody of my neice since she was 2 weeks old. My mother has just pleaded guilthy in court to child dependency in KY. They go back for the 2nd hearing in April.
The birth mother now after all of these yrs wants custody of my neice. My neice does not want to live with her birth mother. The birth mother admits she cannot afford the child, her bf hits her younger daughter, her children have been picked up by police and taken to their school because they got lost walking to the school by themselves (they are 9 and 7). Her court appt'd attorney thinks it is time to reunite her with her " family " whom have not been there for years! She doesnt want to even see the people.
My husband and I are the only ones who can afford her, have a nice big enough home, live in a good school district. She is always with us. What are my chances? Can she come to OH from KY?

I am a college student who is the chief editor of our campus' newspaper. Someone who writes for us (used to write for us), didnt like the way I said something to him and charged at me, smacking a US Constitution out of my hand and yelling and threatening me.

He is not a student, he works at the university.

He is denying what he did, even though people witnessed the ugly incident.

I didnt call the police, even after he verbally threatened me. Now we have to meet with administrators next week. I go to an all black college and am white, and he is also black. I get the feeling they are going to blame me for this.

What should I do? He is a huge guy, and me not big at all. Should I hire a laywer or something? I get the feeling they are all going to side against me, to look out for one of their own.

a good friend of mine was arrested yesterday for assult on an officer. He did not assult the officer, he did not even have anytime to assult him because he was tackeled to the ground. Assult is a felony but they are syaing if they can get people to write letters to the judge they can drop it down to a misdaminor. What wording should i use when i write this letter? are there any templates that i can use to make me sound better???


He is a great guy, Nice, smart, sweet... He is doing his best to keep his life on track and provide for his family... That is basically his number one priority... Please someone help. I need to write an Amazing letter... but i have never been great at writing so i need some help.

I have read that there is a passage in the Qu'ran that says something akin to "blessed are those who make their friends laugh" - as if Allah understood the true value of a sense of humor. Does the bible say anything of the sort? I guess this is a two part question. Part 1, what's the exact quote. Part 2, what's the biblical analog. Or Part 2, does the god of the bible not have a sense of humor (please don't tell me about avocado pits or appendixes on humans and if you want to show examples, just give the reference, I can look them up without wading through cut and pasted tracts).

Im mixed....so i have biracial hair. i do have horrible split ends. last week i got like a good amount of my hair cut off...my hair is so ugly with my hair this shortQ! but not all the split ends are off cuz it goes almost all the way up to the roots except i doesnt cuz my hair is growing there...so im gonna have to keep cutting it as it grows ot get all the s[lit ends out of the way.


my hair is vetry curly...and can be somewhat dry. i have to brush my hair in the shower cuz there no other way. i dont wanna use a straightner now cuz my hair is already damaged. and my hair is a frizz ball. ive tried herbal essence...and the sunsilk anti poof made it work..the thermasilk dried out my hair...and the herbal essence...does okay....but doesnt exactly do its job. im not black so i dont have real course hair and im not white so i dont have real soft and silky hair...im mixed....and desperate for a good shampoo n conditioner...and ways to make my hair grow faster.
