Sounds stupid, but I don't know what to expect from monsoon season. Also would like to know the worse time of year for mosquitoes.

If you are going in the second half of August you will not be in for a deluge, because this marks the tapering end of south western monsoon in Kerala, and there will be less frequent rains with sunny patches frequently. But first half can be different with more frequent heavy rains.Regarding mosquitoes it is more related to local sanitation and stagnant filthy water than the rain water which drains out fast and is turbid which are not conditions for mosquitoes to multiple.

By August rainy season will be coming to nearly end in Kerala. Hence in August there would not be non stop deluge and there will be only occasional rains.

by august the mansoon will not trouble you and infact it is wonderfull , you enjoy the beuty of nature , iam also traveling during the same time from UK booked holiday with saromaholidays , if you have not yet decided contact them and book a holiday through them , my freinds had a good experience with them so i too booked with them, and don't worry of mosquitoes , in good places you don't have such problems .
