I'm currently 17 years old and thinking of enlisting in the California NG when I turn 18.

About 5 foot 11, not very athletic but in shape. No medical or psycological complications other then certain allergies to pollen (Damn summer).

Thinking of enlisting as a infantryman (11B), Infantry senior sergeant (11Z), or Psychological operations specialist (37F). I was told I could opt for something called "Officer Training" so that I could start as an officer, not sure if there is such a thing but if it is real I'm still not sure if I will take it.

I like the idea of defending on American soil but not so much the idea of fighting on foreign soil.

I don't need the tuition money, I just want to defend the US should it come under attack.

Graduated highschool two years ago, if that matters.

Well am I a good candidate for NG or should I forget about it and stick with the civilian life?

I do not agree with a man's response that good looking women aren't approached because the man is too afraid of rejection. I figure if he is that taken by her, he would make the effort. Plus, women who never get approached are often the ones who feel rejected. Does anyone agree? I am just curious.

Ok so my now boyfriend and i have had a pretty ugly past he gave me such a hard time my freshman year and now we have been together for about half a year we had been pretty great since this last time we decided to try things but just about a week ago he started acting funny he has been ignoring my calls and we dont see eachother but then again he doesnt have a car i tried to break things off because things just seemed to familiar to me but he begged me not to and well i love him so much i decided not too but that was two days ago and all today he has ignored my calls texts and now has his phone off. i dont know what to do my heart hurts and i dont know if i believe what he told me the night i took the ring to house to break things off which was that he has all these problems and feels he has hit rock bottom. he says he needs help but just doesnt know. he said he didnt want to burden me please someone help me out w/ advice or prayer to get us through this.
