..to use scripture?

When considering the other side of someone's arguement in a religious debate:

Christians require Atheists to consider their arguement, with the assumption that a god exists.

Atheists require Christians to listen to their arguement, with the assumption that a god doesn't - i.e. The scriptures are wrong too.

So surely it's bad practise to respond (if you're a religious person) using scripture, because the entirety of one's religion needs to be suspended, considered and questioned (if a reasonable answer is to be formed).

You can't pick and choose which bits to analyse and leave other bits as true? In which case any arguement can be proved by only suspending bits at a time:

It would be similar to having two imaginary friends (A and B) and saying A exists because B says he does and vice versa. Surely both A and B need to be suspended and looked at to draw a fair conclusion?

He grunts and moves his legs up like something is bothering him. He is on Enfamil with iron do you think it could be he's having a hard time digesting it he poops about twice a day. He really does it from 3:30 am until 6:30 am. I cannot get to the doctor until the morning and was told over the phone it will pass which does not seem right to me. He seems pretty miserable most of the time he doesn't cry but he moves around like something is not right. I give him gas drops it helps temporay. What can I do to help him? Should I switch to a soy formula?

I am dancing in a musical and my group is made up of mostly non-dancers. I am a dancer, not professional, but I have been dancing off and on about 25 years. When teaching dances the choreographer counts 1-2-3, 1-2-3 or 123-456, never in eights. I am trying to learn the steps, transferring her counts to eights. It isn't working too well. When I ask another dancer in the group to show me a step, I still don't get it because they don't count in eight. Needless to say, they all have the steps, but I can't remember anything. Then I start getting stressed trying to remember steps--which leads me to mess up. I realize that I am probably thinking too hard. I am going to ask the choreographer to count out things with me in eights, but she is always busy. All in all, I feel that she is not breaking the dances down in detail. Besides asking her to count in eights, can you provide any other tips?
