I have multiple severe food allergies, so I have to buy organic, and specialty flours that are expensive. I spend about 200 dollars a week to feed myself and my 12 year old daughter. Its a sin that people who need healthier foods are penalized for it. I have to sell on ebay just to support my diet, which by the way, contains no meat-the costliest stuff are the rice pastas, and flours, and buying organic. I make all of my own cosmetics, toiletries and household cleansers, so considerable expense there too buying ingredients

I think it all depends on where you shop! Here in upstate NY you have Price Chopper which is the most expensive, Hannaford which is slightly less, and Walmart Super Center which is the cheapest! None of them are very gourmet oriented as far as I'm concerned! Larry's in Seattle puts them all to shame by far!
Our grocery bill runs at least $100 a week but we try and avoid the junk food we do not need and generally look for the weekly specials which also lend to variety!
I own a farm so we use our own meats which is a huge savings for us!
Of course, I'm not including items like personal hygiene, pet foods, etc. This is strictly groceries, paper products, and cleaning agents.

I tend to do big shopping about once a month to the tune of $110 or so, and then weekly supplemental for perishibles that runs about $45. So, in a four week month I'd average a little over $60. That includes cleaners, food, treats, etc.

This is for myself and my six-year old and no pets.

My husband and I spend about $150 a week. That gets all the basic foods, soft drinks, and a treat for each of us, plus food for three cats. That also does the laundry stuff, dish detergent, and personal stuff, but that gets rotated every other week, because most of it lasts two weeks, and it never(Thank God) all runs out at the same time.

About $100 a week, but sometimes it's less. This covers pantry items, lunch fodder, evening meals, breakfast and cleaning/household supplies.. But, we eat out about 4 lunches a week, and that is about $50-60 more.

Hmmm, our groceries alone are about $100 a week for the two of us. (I track that in Excel) So with stuff like Cascade and scrubbie pads and detergent, about $150 a week.
