historically speaking, this is pretty interesting stuff.

and those really interested in what jesus said and did in his life are also very interested.

the only ones who deny this sort of stuff out of hand without knowing anything about what was discovered or said are the ones who are more interested in protecting a religion than they are the person they supposedly believe is the son of god.

this is why i no longer follow any organized religion...

Wasn't that on the Discovery Channel? I saw it and in some ways this is fulfilling prophecy.Mary it seems had done many things after the death of Jesus. Regardless of the actual facts, it has evolved into a religion that has been popular. It was interesting that Mariamne's Ossuary was marked as ; "Master." Maybe the male hierarchy had it wrong all along and turned the Messiah into their own likeness and gender. We seem to confuse spirituality as something gender biased especially in a presumably male dominated world. Whether or not this was the Lost Tomb of Jesus doesn't seem to change the minds of very many of the faithful anyway. Science it seems is always trying to rattle these invisible chains of the religious and their faithful followers. It is confusing the way they mention Joseph as a decedent of King David and yet Jesus was supposed to be the son of God instead. The more they humanize Jesus doesn't seem to really take away the image people have of him as a leader of a movement and an underdog for the exploited and the oppressed.

The "beloved disciple" is Jesus son with Mary Magdalene and it seems that Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code is less far fetched these days. It's clear that politics played a role in the selection of the "legit" Gospels the one of Phlillips axed caused it gave too much relevance to Mary Magdalene as a disciple of Jesus and a teacher. I see a new Reformation coming or what the heck maybe people just give up believing in "flying spaghetti monsters" and resurrected bodies.

The documentary is historically, geographically, archaeologically, and spiritually inaccurate. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus' resurrection isn't a myth or symbol. Instead, it really happened! The hardened Roman soldiers who crucified Him knew He was dead when they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a borrowed cave-like tomb. But on the third day that tomb was empty, and later hundreds saw Him.

Why is this important? Because it tells us there is hope—hope for this life, and hope beyond the grave. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies" (John 11:25). This hope can become yours, as you turn in faith to the living Christ and ask Him into your life.

The FACT of the whole show is they just are NOT sure of burial tomb. I was in Israel back in 1991 and I took a 2 day tour. Even back then there were 3 or 4 different places that they believe he was put prior to his resurrection.

No one here on earth knows for sure where he was put.

That does not matter. The important thing is we rely follow the teachings of Him. If we do that, we will arrive to Plenitude of being and existing, where there is not matter, space or time. That is our destiny, the same that Jesus had. To arrive to plenitude as he did. Everything else are comments, infinite comments, my friend. Lets behave with comprehension, with love, with appreciation between ourselves, lets live with compassion for the ones who suffer a lot and we will arrive there, my friend

There was one very suspicious element to the story that stuck out at me: why did it take so long to translate a few inscriptions? It's not as if the language was new or something.

There's just no way of proving that it's Jesus. I wish they could, but they can't.
