I had blisters on the backs of both my ankles, around my achilles. One went away without me noticing, but the other was not so easy. I popped it using a sharp ring and when I did, this water-like stuff (or maybe it was water, I'm not sure) came out. What the hell was it, and should I be worried?

At 4 months pregnant, I started dating this wonderful guy. Throughout the relationship my hormones and my temper made me such a horrible person. One week ago he broke up with me. I took a trip 12 hours by car away to get away from my problems, but came home and they were still there. I'm still in love with him and hurting everyday. I'm not sure what to do, I just know I want him back in my life. He's not a bad person: never rose his voice to me, never hit me, and made me feel safe. We've had our disagreements, but now I want him back. We had so many talks about how we were going to raise 'our' (and he said it first) daughter together... now he doesn't even want to see me. He says he's hurting right now, and I am too. Why won't he come back? He knows things will change and he knew getting into this that things would be difficult... I feel like he's given up. (And no, there is no other woman.) He says he's not sure if he's still in love with me, but that he still loves me.... help?

My cousin is having her first baby, she is due in 2 days. She has smoked during all of her pregnancy. She washed the baby's clothing that she is taking to the hospital...then she leaves them in area that is being smoked around. Im afraid that when the baby is born the cigarett smoke will be very strong and harmfull. She has everything else for the baby in a smoke free home, but she has been staying at her mothers house, full of smokers!! and thats where her hospital bags are...for when it's time. Should I say something, is the "SMELL" of cigarett smoke harmfull to a newborn?
FYI: she doesn't plan on smoking around the baby!
Also, I went and bought some onsies, gowns, and socks for the baby...washed them in dreft.."I don't smoke"...and I plan to bring them to the hospital when she is in labor..and then I planed on offering to take the smelly baby things and wash them, then bring right back. IS THis a good plan...or should I say somthing now? OR is this just not a big deal?

In America, there are people of different religions and different political views, however deep inside their heart they are all Americans, like "brothers", so if one of them gets attacked everyone unites to try and defeat the attacking enemy.

The same thing is happening in Iraq. Although Iraq is a separate country, all middle-eastern countries including itself are predominantly “Muslim States”. So, though there might be small trifles or civil wars between these countries, they all have a feeling of Muslim brotherhood - so if one country is being attacked by a foreign power (America in this case), then all these countries forget their small trifles and differences & unite together to fightback and defeat the American troops.

This is where Bush screwed up badly - in his desire to get oil, he overlooked the basic fact that though Iraq is an independent country, it is still a "Muslim state" like several other Middle Eastern countries (particularly Iran). So, while Bush envisioned defeating the Iraqi resistance (meanwhile projecting to innocent Americans that he’s trying to bring Iraqis freedom from terrorism and a tyrant Saddam Hussain) and securing oil bases within a period of 2 years, he failed to notice that the resistance which the American troops will be facing is not merely from Iraqis, but from it’s Muslim neighbors as well. Now Bush has realized his mistake and has called for extra troops, more resources & plans for bombing Iran (this time under the pretext that Iran is manufacturing nuclear weapons & their leader Ahmedinejad is yet another tyrant).

I have a ComboBox which I fill with values from a database table.

When the form containing the control loads, I want it to have an initial selection like "-- Please select --". To accomplish this, it seems like I need to first add this initial item manually to the control, and then set the SelectedIndex property to 0. After that, I would fill the control with the rest of the data.

Will this work, or is there a better way? Examples would be helpful.
